Health Net is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Last year I was billed for anesthesia services on 8/28/23 for $1116, they paid in October $426.60 and $405 toward the claim. Then 4/26/2024 Health Net took the $426.60 back from the provider, resulting in me being billed for that amount on 4/29/24, getting a statement to pay June 2024. I did an investigation with Health Net and the provider starting on 7/9/24, after calling Health Net 3 times, 3 different stories, still no resolution. Health Net does not even have the correct phone number on my old insurance card. The representatives are in the Philippines and do not understand the product.

I'm sorry to hear others have had such a poor experience. Personally I have found the coverage more than adequate and having Scripps in network is a great convenience for me. When I have had issues regarding medical bills I have found it easy to get ahold of customer support. The wait times are short and staff is well above average in their knowledge and they go the extra mile to settle billing issues with providers. They even called back when I got disconnected. I hope to continue having this good experience going forward.

Absolute worst coverage, worst customer service, worst website navigation. Useless!
I had a procedure for skin cancer and they didnt tell the clinic what portion of the procedure would be covered so I had to call. It took 43 minutes and 14 seconds for someone in India to be able to tell me that the procedure was covered at 80% even though I had the diagnosis code and the procedure codes. I had another question about mental health coverage and was transferred to an external network called manage health network. They were relatively helpful but it took another 20 minutes to get pointed to someone who could answer my questions. I am so enraged by this system. Its garbage

Healthnet has the worst customer service ever. They cancelled my mother without reason. I then miraculously reinstated her by spending hours with different agents showing it was their fault. There is no way to contact corporate and report how they over bill. I know several insurance agents who won’t even write their clients on Healthnet. Do not sign up with this company. there Is a reason insurance agents won’t recommend Healthnet.

The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with any kind of a company let alone a health insurance company. They’ve charged me for two months I did not have their insurance. I highly recommend everybody avoid this company as much as possible.
I tried contacting them via phone numerous times about this scenario and what I got was three different customer service employees tell me to hang on and hung up on me. I thought for a moment it was a mistake. I was very wrong. Again he just kept hanging up on me. The absolute worst! The only health insurance company I’ve ever came across that will give you heart palpitations and high blood pressure when trying to use their services, rather than treating he’s kind of symptoms. My true opinions of this company are explicit. I will let you use your imagination.

I have a HN PPO through my employer, this is by far the worst mistake our insurance broker has ever made selecting HN as our insurance for this year. Ironic I work with claims and insurance for my clinic, and I can say hands down HN is the worst insurance out there. Pre Auth for PPO services that most PPO insurances don't require, but HN does, HMO HN my Goodness, good luck trying to get an authorization for anything even if it deems a medical necessity. 1 incident I spent 2 hour on the phone with a Rep clearly not from the USA not able to answer any of my questions, please understand, I have dealt with out of Country call centers for insurance and there are many that are knowledgeable and competent, but not this place, I asked simple questions like is the auth pending 10 min hold, is auth approved 12 min hold ,or denied 20 min hold, I was put on hold for everything, then Rep asked for DOB again, on hold for 10 mins, ask for ID # again, on hold for 15 mins, it was a joke, this insurance is a joke. Simply put, they don't give a damn, I have seen insurance go to Hell for years, but HN has them all beat hands down. I can't wait for 2024 to get away from this joke HN calls an insurance, and find a semi joke of insurance to subscribe to, smh. I wish the best for you all.
