Was recommended this by a family member. A neighbor warned me not to proceed and instead recommended another company. Given that family recommended Elements USA I went with them.

Short version:
The client's (meaning me) responsibility isn't to receive a check and then get on the phone with every party involved in the claim suit to get the check endorsed. This company gave me a check that couldn't be deposited or even used. The worst part is the manager at the office tells me "you can do it because it would save us time"...many words ran through my head during that phone call.

First, the woman that dealt with me in person is kind and is not at fault. She was just the messenger.

You pay adjusters to deliver to you a claim check. Yet when I received mine, it was incomplete. When I asked them to get the check stamped and endorsed...I was told they didn't have the time, and since it was very time consuming that they preferred I do it (the client) could do it.

This is not just irresponsible, but unprofessional. I had to waste nearly 2 days of work to stay on the phone with the mortgage, banks etc involved in the case, to get addresses, tracking numbers and names so that I could send the check through a pipeline to get it endorsed.

This is not the client's job, it shouldn't and never has. When I ultimately called to state the process was nearly done...the manager at the officer has the gall to tell me over the phone "see, it was easy so when can we expect the payment".

I would not, again, I would not recommend this company to anyone. There are far better alternatives and most are far more responsive.
