Terrible service. Please do yourself a favor and pick another home warranty service. The warranty company First American is doing nothing to get our refrigerator repaired and the contractor they assigned AGo Home Appliance is completely incompetent and cannot figure out what’s wrong.

I’ve had (updated now) 5 service calls on my refrigerator and it’s been 34 days my refrigerator has not worked properly since my claim on December 7th and it’s still not working. The refrigerator portion freezes all the food. I’ve attached photos of the internal temperature after each repair.

The appliance contractor AGo Home appliance doesn’t want to admit they can’t repair the refrigerator so the warranty company just says they can’t do anything for us. It’s our problem. The appliance company will not come out again and no longer responds to our calls. No future repair has been scheduled. The warranty will not contact us even after we leave messages nor will they intervene and my representative tiara Atkins will not call us even though we’ve left three message!

What would you do? It’s the most unreal problem I’ve ever encountered. My warranty expires in a month. They are waiting me out. Any suggestions anyone?

18 yrs with this home warranty.
18 yrs of loyalty not a single missed payment.
My AC unit is 23 yrs old. I could understand if the AC unit was 5 yrs old or even 7 yrs old.,
FAHW will Not replace my AC unit. FAHW wants to keep putting bandaid on it. Those bandaid are being put by incompetent ac and heating contractors.
That low rating bad reviews contractor cause me room and board at a Hotel and room and board for my dog. That claim should have cost me only $ 95.00 service fee. This is a long story but to make the story short in the end.

I CANCELED MY CONTRACT WITH FAHW.

The pictures is my 20 year old AC unit in the attic and outside that FAHW just wants to keep putting a bandaid on.

Do your research. There is information online telling you how these Home Warranty companies works. I paid 18 yrs and I have more than paid for a new unit with all those years of payments.

My dishwasher speed working properly. I called first American and they had someone out the next day. He needed a part and came back a couple of days later. That didn't fix the problem so they sent him back out. When that didn't fix the problem, they replaced the entire unit with a new one. It was setup and the box and old dishwasher was hauled away. I even like this dishwasher better. It took a little while but everything was taken care of. Very happy customer.

First American Home Warranty: A Complete Scam

I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience with First American Home Warranty has been. Their so-called “repair service” is nothing but a blatant attempt to avoid covering anything under their contracts, no matter how minor the issue or how clear the coverage should be.

I paid $1,200 for a year-long contract, expecting peace of mind and reliable service if something went wrong. Instead, they invalidated my entire contract over $4 worth of screws. Yes, you read that right—$4 in screws. Apparently, this trivial detail was enough for them to claim the issue wasn’t covered, leaving me on the hook for the full cost of repairs.

This company’s true “repair goal” is to find every possible loophole to deny claims, rather than actually provide the services they promise. Their contracts are riddled with fine print designed to protect them, not their customers. When you call customer service, you’re met with indifference and excuses instead of help.

If you’re considering First American Home Warranty, save yourself the frustration and money. You’ll pay for a contract that’s essentially worthless, and when you need them most, they’ll leave you high and dry.

Stay far away from this company. It’s nothing more than a money grab with zero regard for customer satisfaction or ethical.

Water heater was bad and needed to be replaced, unfortunately the technician wanted to charge me ridiculous cost beyond what was covered by the warranty. I had no issue with first home warranty in regards to not covering those extra cost as it’s clearly stated in the contract that those costs are not covered such as haul away, cost to bring up to code and misc. I had a local contractor of my own that could do it for a fraction of the cost and was shocked when first home warranty told me that I completely had the right to use my own contractor that they would simply send me a check for what they would’ve covered and they did so. This is home a home warranty comp company should treat there customer! Nice job First Home Warranty!!!

Water heater is out in the middle of winter. The first vendor they pointed me to has no availability for a week. Spent an hour on hold to finally get through to someone, who basically said "We'll see if we can find someone else". In the meantime, no hot water in winter. I was able to call a plumber myself with great reviews and get them out within 24 hours. Basically seems like a scam to make it as difficult as possible to get them to actually pay up on warranty service. Would not recommend this service to anyone.

This company is the absolute worst company to be in business with had. I not seen previous companies before. I would have had a bad taste in my mouth. In regards to home warranties, please do not waste your time here. Go elsewhere. Please look at the other reviews. They are not telling a lie. Multiple individuals cannot have a same experience with one company and it not be the case. I am on my way out of the door you sure

I filled out the online form for my oven which stopped working. I was in touch with the repair company Onewayyrepairs and they came out the next day. Waymond replaced the igniter and all was good in about 15 minutes.
