They give the better business bureau a bad name. The staff has no knowledge of anything related to services they offer and they cover up for disreputable businesses probably for personal gain. They have falsified the claims businesses make concerning licensing to further their own interests. If you’re in need of truthful information about businesses look elsewhere because you he El Paso branch of the BBB is as corrupt as the businesses they sponsor.
Update : in response to their claims of integrity and honesty and providing trust between businesses and consumers I would like to know why all my inquires were met with lies and ignorance from the BBB in El Paso. They claim to provide accurate and knowledgeable answers about the businesses they accredit. Upon doing my own research which took little to no effort the business in question has no licensing to perform the tasks they advertise. Any entity could uncover the facts with the smallest amount effort. In order to perform the job expected from the BBB you have to put in work that I assume the job requires. Apparently that is not how the El Paso branch functions. There is nothing in their response that answers the questions of their lies and lack of knowledge of their job functions. They only present more lies of supposed statements to distract from their own incompetence. This is suppose to be a professional business not a social media platform. They have presented nothing more than a story. If need be I can present BBB responses that show everything described in my review as I have multiple screenshots of BBB responses to my questions. I use the word response’s because any knowledgeable response would be an answer and that’s not what I received. As for the business you are covering for and accredit do your job and get the facts for other consumers. Follow the BBB guidelines you claim to adhere to. The licensing and quality or work is nonexistent. I have proof in the form of communication and photos with said business. Incompetence, lies, and excuses are abundant. Anyone seeking the truth and integrity look elsewhere because it doesn’t exist at this branch.

I received a response from the incompetent staff at the El Paso branch of the BBB and I have to say maybe tho problem here is a misunderstanding due to the El Paso branch of the BBB total lack of knowledge of the English language. Not surprising as most businesses here in El Paso rely on the use of people from
Across the border. In their response they state they do not endorse any business. Strange because they give businesses accreditation. What is that if it’s not an endorsement. So from their response I am to understand that they serve no function in helping consumers find answers about businesses. They deny endorsements so what exactly do they do. They don’t do proper research on businesses or fact check any claims by businesses. There is no point to their presence in the business community. They don’t post unfavorable reviews as I’m guessing it affects their ability to exist in the business community and they block any form of truth. Claims that I am not the legal owner of said property. Any person off the street can tell when something is of poor quality and when businesses threaten to file suit for bad reviews claiming defamation. As I stated if it were lies sue away, but I have proof in the form of pictures, texts, and other legitimate businesses that have seen and had to repair the damage and incompetent work of these individuals. If the BBB supports these types of businesses and misleads the consumers then avoid them them at all costs. They have no place in the business world. El Paso is filled with this type of incompetence and this needs to change. The degrading educational system is why the staff of the BBB can’t even make a legitimate response to anything. They only throw out false and misleading information assuming the average El Paso citizens are as incompetent as they are. I invite anyone to contact me in regards to what the BBB considers a business worth accrediting and see for yourself.

Due to coronavirus, the better business bureau is not open and cannot assist you in any way. I left a message no one returned my call. Extremely poor customer service during the coronavirus pandemic. I have always counted on you guys in the past to make sure that the public is not dealing with shady characters, people operating businesses without licenses, and professional scam artists. I had a good one to report who tried to steal over $400 out of my bank account, thankfully I was able to resolve myself. Very very disappointed in the better business bureau here in El Paso

I couldn't be happier with El Paso's BBB office. Within one day of becoming a BBB Accredited Business, a customer from out of town mentioned seeing our business on the El Paso BBB website and subsequently spent a significant amount of money with our small business. The El Paso BBB office also invited our business to a meeting to explain all of the service offerings available to us to help our small business grow. For a very modest fee, if you have a small business in El Paso, I would highly recommend that you become an accredited member, as it will only improve your business!

The BBB here in El Paso seems to have an allegiance to the businesses that pay them as opposed to being a true not for profit consumer advocate group as it was designed. It seems in my opinion that Mary Beth Stevens, the represented supervisor, will expend time and effort to allow for "investigation" on behalf of of the business but will not investigate whether or not the business is providing correct information. It begs the question, is the BBB here in El Paso being run by individuals subject to the paying businesses or are they truly an organization that is designed to inform the public of organizations that truly are worthy of the "A" rating provided by them? If they pay for it, does it really mean anything? In my opinion and experience, according the current rating system, any company, regardless of the character and integrity of that business can buy a rating because Mary Beth Stevens the supervisor, will redact information to keep the business's reputation so that they will continue to pay. My experience and opinion dealing directly with her has led me to believe just that. She decides what is appropriate and censors information. It seems like our local BBB will yield to the business to keep them paying instead of protecting the consumer with truth. For transparency, all businesses pay the BBB to be a part of their organization. It would explain why they protect the businesses reputations. They make money off of the businesses so it's a matter of paying and who gives the BBB what they want as opposed to being un biased. Also the in the response to the review of Rick Castellanos they state that they are here to protect the public which contradicts the response to my review. I have a screenshot in case it gets deleted. The BBB is an organization that solicits any business that will pay in order to make a profit under the false claim that they protect the public. Just call and ask how much does it cost to be a member. Pay it and you get an A plus rating. Even if someone complains they will protect the business as opposed to report the truth so the business keeps paying and has a positive rating so they will continue to pay. It is sad that they would even say they have been protecting the public for 100 years...it's a sham...

In response to what the BBB responded. Please take note that stated the hold them accountable to the BBB NOT to the consumer all the while they restrict information on reviews to shed a light that is beneficial to the paying businesses not the consumer. They do take time to verify the validity of the complaint with the business that has the complaint filed against it and fully supports the payimg business and allowing for a response from the business regardless of the truth of the response. Again, they favor the business to continue to get the fee associated with being part of this sham. In my opinion there should not be trust in any business that benefits from representing themselves as a source for truth when they allow false information from businesses to be posted..

Extreme Window Cleaning Service came to my house this morning and cleaned over 40 windows. I have used 2 previous services and these people are a real game changer! They were punctual, courteous, efficient, and pros from begnining to end! They cleaned my windows and screens both inside and out until they sparkled. Some of the windows had paint and stucco on them but the residue was removed carefully and the windows were not scratched. I could not be more satisfied and will use them every 3-4 months.

Was nearly asked to leave the property of the BBB this morning.

I have a scheduled appointment for arbitration today and like everything else in my life I show up early. I prefer to be punctual. But instead of going inside I stayed in my car because I was watching videos on my phone and didn't want to be that person making unnecessary noise inside. For about half an hour several employees walking in and out were giving clearly judgmental looks. Until one came out asking if she could "help me" or if there was "anything I needed".

When I replied politely "no, I'm fine thank you" she told me it was a private parking lot "business parking lots open to public and it's not gated" and that I shouldn't be here.

when I told her I had an appointment she asked me to come inside. I politely declined and said I'd wait in my car until my appointment.

I just thought it was funny that you could get judged just for sitting in your car waiting for an appointment. lol
