Jeff Costa worked hard to straighten out the mess created by an incompetent insurance adjuster and my only regret is that I didn’t hire him immediately after our home burned. Jeff’s expertise in handling difficult and complex cases was evident from the start and he set to work immediately to address the enormous challenges we faced in dealing with a corrupt remediation company as well as an insurance adjuster who did everything in his power to stall payments and create chaos. Jeff was behind me 100% of the way and I realize that if I hadn’t brought him on board the insurance company would have intentionally run out the statute of limitations on the claim and I would have been left with a worthless pile of rubble instead of a home. Two and a half years post-fire, thanks to Jeff, our home has been rebuilt and we are ready to close a traumatic chapter in our lives.

I had water damage incident and Jeff Costa was assigned as my field adjuster by my insurance on Nov 10th. His office made a contact with me on Nov 13th and said they wouldnt be able to come before Nov 21st. We agreed on Nov 25th because we had travel plans in the Thanksgiving week. On the 25th, Jeff didn't show up. I called him to inquire if he would be able to make it and he said he would call me back in 5 minutes. He never called back or answered any of my phone calls on that day. Eventually, the insurance had to find me a new field adjuster because Jeff was not responsive to them either. With water damage, it is highly advised for restoration to take place within 24 to 48 hours so mold doesn't build up. Unfortunately, it has been several weeks now since the incident happened and yet no inspection has taken place. All thanks go to Jeff Costa.

Jeff Costa was a God send for my family and me. My family and I had a flood at our house. We had our hydronic baseboard burst in 5 different locations on the second floor of our house.This all happened while my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer.

To be honest I never knew there was such a thing as public adjuster. After speaking with my attorney one day about a completely different matter we managed to get on the topic of what happened at our house and my attorney highly recommended to get a public adjuster involved. So I decided to hire Jeff to represent us and let me tell you, it was one of the best things that could have happened. Jeff really made this process as painless as humanly possible. His professionalism, expediency, confidence, experience, and knowledge of the industry really shined through when he got involved. Thank goodness we found Jeffrey S. Costa after the pipes burst in the attic above our apartment the day after Thanksgiving. He looked after our interests when no one else was doing so. He worked directly with the insurance company which was wonderful because he knew what to expect from them as they tried to protect their own interests. He got us moved to a residence inn while our apartment was being rebuilt. He made all difference for us! Sometimes we got concerned because we didn't hear from him for several days at a time but he was still working for us in the background (and he had a lot of other clients) and just a month and 3 days after the "event" we had a settlement from the insurance company allowing us to replace our ruined belongings and furnishings. We are now moving on with our lives and are in much better shape thanks in very large part to Jeffrey. I would recommend anyone who finds him or herself in similar circumstances following a disaster to consider hiring a Public Insurance Adjuster to assure their rights are protected and I would specifically recommend Jeffrey S. Costa. He really did make all the difference for us!

To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing this letter about Jeff Costa my private adjuster.
On January 14th 2016 my house caught on fire and it was completely destroyed. I was introduced to Jeff from a friend of mine. That evening I stood at a neighbor’s house. The following morning Jeff met me at my house early in the morning. I told him that I had no place to live, within 30 minutes Jeff had me a room at the Marriott!
The next few days were a blur to me but, Jeff was around every day making sure I am comfortable and was dealing 100% with the insurance company. Jeff even hired another private adjuster (out of his pocket) to walk around the house to take inventory. This adjuster literally counted my underwear and socks and put a price on them!! I was completely amazed by this, and like I said, Jeff paid for this.
Around 3 (three) weeks later Jeff handed me 2 checks. This first check was for almost $400,000 for the structure and the second check was for $80,000 to cover my personal items. I was very pleased to get these checks and if I was dealing with the insurance company, it would have ended there. Jeff used his copy of my belongings and within a couple weeks another $100,000 was given by the insurance company to Jeff. In the meantime, I was staying at the Marriot but summer was approaching and I decided to get a camper on site. Jeff calls me up and tells me that the insurance will cover up to $80,000 for living expenses. He asked me if I would like to cash it out, which I did for $60,000!!! Again, if I was handling this large claim myself I would have NEVER been paid all this.
Thinking that things are over, Jeff calls me and says that according to the insurance policy the company owed me $20,000 for upgrades and up to $10,000 for more personal belongings that I had to replace (i.e. bedroom sets, stove, etc.) I doubt the average person would know all this information, where to look for it, ask for it, and give reasons for it. I gave my phone number and email address if anyone would like to talk to me or have questions. Please feel free to contact me with questions. Without a doubt Jeff got me more compensation than what he took for his compensation and best of all, I didn’t have to place a single call to the insurance company. I have been a Correctional Officer for 30 years, and come to find out, Jeff has served several officers, all giving him high ratings. Having Jeff on your side during a crisis like I found myself in was not only comforting but, saved me a lot of headaches dealing with insurance companies.
