I had the pleasure of renting a property managed by Canon City Property Management for six years, and I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and kindness. Throughout my time at the property, Canon City Property Management consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to ensuring that everything was in excellent condition and that my living experience was as comfortable as possible.

I rented from Louis, and his team there for 6 years. I could not have asked for a better Land lord. If I ever had an issue and called them, it was taken care of immediately. I have tried several management companies and Canon City Property Management has been the best experience I have had. At my age it is important that I do business with a property management company with integrity and experience. I applied for a rental approximately July 17, after advising Louis that I had struggled with credit issues in April and May, 2024, however my credit score is 593, considered "fair" in many realty circles. He allowed me to apply anyway, and then declined my application due to credit. Illegal in Colorado. I want the fees returned, and more.

And Colorado Legal Services has taken the case. Louis said my credit needed to be higher for "the neighborhood," while domestic violence was occurring right around the corner from the house just this Monday past.

Also, the day I met one of the ladies to tour the rental, she looked as if she has just come in from gardening. And she could not sufficiently answer questions about the propery, and had little knowledge of various items on the property.

I feel like I dodged a bullet, grateful for that. Had it occurred to me to do due diligence on the professionalism of this company I would have learned quite a bit. But who actually checks the company beyond general reviews? I do, from here forward. Louis will have some explaining to do.

One star as I am on by phone, out to dinner, will do worse elsewhere.
