This firm was hired by the insurance carrier to act as their appraiser. The appraiser that they hired, after a DOA was signed, after the amount of loss was agreed to in principle unfortunately had a death in the family as his grandfather passed away. He informed Colonial Claims that he needed to immediately return home for 1 week to attend the funeral and mourn with his family as he was raised by his grandfather and they were very close. Rather than grant the request, he was FIRED! Fired for having a family member die! What a great company! Empathy off the charts. Besides just how disgusted I am with what took place that a company would fire their employee (who relies on this job to support his children) over a death in the family (as if they aren't dealing with enough at that moment), the new appraiser that they inserted (who is notoriously unreasonable and incompetent who was previously fired from another company in the area due to his....let's call it proficiency....or lack thereof....emphasis on the "lack thereof") is refusing to honor the already agreed to umpire and DOA. This was my one and only experience with this firm but I think it should be known before anyone decides to work with them or wants to know what they are about, be sure that you go in eyes wide open that if one of your loved ones dies, they will without hesitation fire you just to kick you when you're down and make the process of handling claims much more difficult than it needs to be.

He going to write in his report he didn’t see where the water was coming in the home so my family have to breathe in mildew air. Do not use them if your black clear case of systemic racism !!!! I have

We have been since February 6 dealing with Barkley. Does not return calls. Basement flooded. Spending our money to save our home. I’m sure this isn’t any way to run a business. Co- Operative should NOT use this company!

Horrible communication. Had an adjuster that dropped the ball on my flood claim and basically did very little to help me. Claim was turned over to another adjuster and the issues were the same. If it were their home that was flooded I bet they would work faster. Maybe they should have to learn what it is like to live in a flood damaged home for over 100 days with little to no money from the policy and little to no communication from the adjuster. If your flood claim is handled by Colonial Claims you have my sympathy.
