Not happy at all with this company. It was great the first 2 weeks after that the lack of communication is horrendous. I reached out numerous times to 2 employees( I won’t list them) about what I have to do with my check and who what goes too. I have screenshots of reaching out to both employees on multiple occasions and not hearing back from either of them. Now, a year later I have to pay the emergency roof company that came out $595 because the check I got for my roof some of that money was suppose to go to them, and some to metro of course which metro was paid. I’m frustrated because I asked numerous times what I should do with these checks and no one responded, I had to contact the office and the people at the desk to even get some type of answer but nobody told me I had to send money to the emergency roof company. I feel as though I was just used to get my money and they didn’t care about anything else especially this being my first time using a public adjuster, I thought they would be more helpful through the whole process but it was the complete opposite.

Do not hire this company!
When you initially contact them they will have this amazing sales pitch. They will tell you how they are going to make x mount of money for you and it’s all going in your pocket to fix your property. They use huge unrealistic numbers.
Here is the grit. Claim: we only get paid if you get paid and it’s only 35%. Reality: every time you receive a check from insurance metro will give you 10 business days to mail them a check of 35% of each check. Not of a total sum. This will create a problem because home lenders starting in 2024 will hold your check until you have a completion inspection complete. If you don’t reach that inspection interval the lender will hold the checks. This is a problem because contractors usually require 50% payment upfront then step payments after completion. Therefore not only will you not be able to pay the contractors 50% up front, but if you don’t have that check to metro they start threatening a lean on your property and will harass you multiple times a day via text of random numbers not identifying themselves and via phone. Insurance does not mail checks via certified mail. You may get it in two weeks or longer. But if you don’t own more than 35% (or more for some lenders) of your home then the check must go to the lender and to metro. So you must send the check to three places to get the names endorsed off the checks before you can cash them to send metro your money. Also banks put a 48hour hold on any checks deposited above $1000. If each company sits on the checks before for three days, which it usually takes 7 business days plus mail time you’re looking at a month before you can deposit the money. Even if you can show tracking on the checks metro will still harass you. This process ensures they are paid first putting you and your property last. Also meaning you will have to come out of pocket to a contractor even more than if you were to hire an attorney or fight insurance yourself.
I knew there was an issue when none of the three adjusters assigned to my case would return my call and they refused to be honest with me when they knew they couldn’t squeeze any more money out of insurance and were still going to charge me ā€œfor the work of fighting insurance on my behalfā€. I was still short tens of thousands of dollars because I had to pay metro first before a contractor. This will leave you more stranded than you were before.
all you have to do is get three quotes from different contractors, send them to the insurance company and tell them which you choose to do the work. According to state insurance attorneys they have a 30 day respond time to mail you a check or counter offer the contractors bid. Legit contractors have people hired just to fight their bid to insurance companies. All of this eliminates the need for metro. Though because you’re stressed and need your house fixed you feel swamped and helpless. That’s right where metro comes in and saves the day by locking you into an addition 35% of money that you actually need to fix your property.
Claim: we are here to fight on your behalf to maximize your payout. If all goes well you’ll even come out with extra and that’s what we use for payment. Reality: Let me be crystal clear!! Until your property is fixed and it’s as it was before damage you need every dime. Metro tags their 35% onto every payout. That will affect your upfront costs to a contractor. Also there is no ā€œextraā€ or ā€œleft overā€. The scenarios that are pitched when they are trying to get you to sign a contract are all over Google as insurance scams.
I paid metro their final payment two months ago. I have the tracking saying they received the checks and I’m still getting texts and calls and mail about their payments. These people add to the stress instead of eliminating it and helping you. Save your time and work directly with a contractor and if you absolutely have to get the state insurance attorney involved if the case doesn’t move for 30 days. DO NOT FALL FOR THESE PEOPLES SMOOTH TALKING TRICKS!!!

Bad customer service. Kimberly told me I needed to do a zoom meeting and and she wanted to get on the roof and video the damages while on zoom, really a 66 year old senior citizen with disabilities. They breached contact, and I notified Anthony Scheier, the clamin insurance guy of the contract cancellation due to breach
I have his email telling me no worries contact cancelled, yet they continued to contact Nationwide and Seek Now after the cancellation confirmation.
They expected me to do their job for them and while paying them for a service! Really!!! By the Nationwide people were just as rude!

I had the absolute WORST experience with this company. My advice to the public would be to do your research. The lead adjuster for this company Mr. Bill also said some very condescending words directly to me…a client. It all starts with the top. I am big on positive reviews when deserved. This company deserves 0 stars and 0 business. I asked for a call from the owner about my experience and got not a single call but they were sure to make sure they got their money despite how disrespectful and how horrible of an experience I have had. If he treats his customers this way I could only imagine how he treats his employees. Very disappointed. Never again. Let me save you all the headache. You don’t have to just believe me look at all of their reviews.

Do NOT use this company. Metro Public Adjustment LLC is a scam! Read all of these recent negative reviews—they are extremely accurate as we have had the same negative experience. My husband and I were given false promises and false hope by our adjuster, John Mesko when we first had a zoom call with him in May of 2023. John Mesko lies to clients, is unprofessional, extremely disorganized and does not follow through on any promises he makes. He opened up a water damage claim almost 2 years ago and we still have not received any payment and have no answers. He would not get back to us and when he did he told us every excuse in the book. We are left with a moldy basement, that is spreading that still has not been rectified because we are in a stand still and he will not answer/return calls or emails. Even our insurance company has said this public adjuster is extremely disorganized and they had to ask him numerous times for information, which they never received. Our friends, who had the same exact issue as us, went directly through their insurance without an adjuster and they received a payout and closed their claim within a month. During this process, our home insurance company even attempted to cancel our policy due to the mess on Metro’s end and we would not be able to get a new policy with a different company because we are in the middle of renovating our house. This was because we asked John Mesko to inform our home insurance that we are starting renovations, which he replied that he would, but found out when we called the insurance company ourselves that he did not. After a year of unanswered calls and emails with no solution to our claim, our insurance company suggested we took over the claim ourselves because Metro Public Adjustment is so disorganized and the claim was going no where. Therefore, this past June (2024) we asked our adjuster, John Mesko if we could take over handling our claim and if he can send over all of our info for our file. John said, ā€œAbsolutely. I will send it over by the end of the week.ā€ Then, nothing. Now it is November of 2024 and we have sent dozens of emails, called constantly and left numerous emails. We still have not heard back and have not received anything from our file to continue our claim. We are beyond stressed and upset about this entire process. The lies, disorganized communication and lack of transparency throughout this process is unacceptable. My biggest regret is ever going with Metro Public Adjustment and John Mesko. Please find a different company so you don’t end up in the huge mess we are in. I absolutely do not recommend!

Ok so they weren't able to overturne my denial but that's not why I'm leaving 1 star. Only time I spoke with them over the last 5 months was at the beginning interview and when they did the assessment of the damage. Also I never received a report of the damage or estimate vaule of the lost. Then silent I would receive the occasional automated email from there automated system saying there's been an update to my account then after 5 months got an email saying they couldn't get my denial reverse and that's it no phone call no explanation on what they did over the last 5 months nothing. Just a terrible experience do not use them just terrible.

I would not recommend anyone to pick this company. They are a fraud and definitely do no know what they are doing. They came out took 20 minutes to tell me the issue was my leaves water was coming in from the soffit.Just clean out your gutters that is the problem. I had a leak coming from the attic into my bedroom. Well that was not the problem and they took a thousand dollars from me and state farm only reimbursed me 2000 dollars. I had the best roofer come out, took one look at the bedroom ceiling and knew exactly where the leak was coming from. He went up on roof, said water was coming in from where nails were. He said he could replace that part of the roof where the damage was. The wood in attic had to be replaced since there was so much damage. He gave me such a great deal I replaced the whole roof. You want a great roofer WILLIAM AULETTLO IN CHERRY HILL NJ. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO METRO PUBLIC ADJUSTER they just want your money and don't even know where the problem is. Concerned citizen
