I purchased their safe travels protect product for a trip to Alaska. I had to cancel due to a covered reason and filed a claim online with meticulous records. I received an auto generated reply. Since then I have called three times and been given 3 different answers on when the claim would be settled. It has been 48 days and still no response whatsoever.

We purchased a cancelation policy with Trawick in March to cover our cruise which was scheduled for July. We had to cancel two days before because my husband became very ill and there was no way we could make the trip. We filed our claim on August 1 as we had to wait for the doctor's note stating his condition. We were told that it would be 15 days before we would hear back. I called when it was 15 days and they said it would be another 15 days. This continued for a few weeks. After about 6 or so weeks we were told we need more documentation. I provided everything the cruise line gave to me and forwarded it on. They then said they needed more and what we sent wasn't accurate. I contacted the cruise line and the agent was confused. What they sent to me is the documentation required by all other insurance companies. I kept calling Trawick every day to check in. I heard from one of their agents yesterday that she would contact me sometime that day via phone call or email. I never heard from her. i feel at this point we won't get our money and we have bought a fraudulent policy from a fraudulent company. I hope enough people read this and other reviews so they avoid this company at all costs. A friend of mine canceled her trip a month after me and she has already received the money. Find another insurance company!

They use a third party to pay out. I personally feel this was false advertisement. My trip delay , my trip cancelation, and my totally destroyed new luggage was not handled. Even after providing all tickets, pricing tags from luggage. My advice is to really read their contract but I won't use them again. Thanks for nothing

If I could I would rate this experience as a negative star. I have purchased multiple travel insurance policy through travelinsurance.com and have luckily not needed to utilize the insurance policy. This past August my sister purchased a travel insurance policy through travelinsurance.com with Trawick Insurance based on my suggestion. This was based on the price and the glowing review on how efficient the claims were processed, etc. Lo and behold - my sister was delayed going back home from her cruise - her airline - Southwest Airline cancelled her flight while other flights were going out. She had to stay in Florida for 2 additional nights before making it back home. She placed her claim in with Trawick which utilizes SureGo Administrative Services for the claim along with all of her supporting documentation. It is now 10/22/24 and she finally got an email stating that her claim needs more documentation. She had previously reached out TWICE to SureGo regarding her claim and had asked to speak to a Supervisor who conveniently was not available both times. She also asked a Supervisor to call her back but yet no phone calls received to date. SureGo - do not take on tasks you can not complete, you should be fired. Trawick - you have not met your end of the service that was purchased. My sister will be contacting her state insurance commissioner regarding her claim. Travelinsurance.com - you should note this is a complaint against a travel insurance provider that you list on your website with glowing reviews. They have made this situation completely frustrating and unacceptable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND any of these above mentioned companies.

Also responsive customer care. Purchased policy for Domnica by mistake, simple email with details and they cancelled it. Quite efficient.

First, as other state, it is hard to find how to file the claim. Email them and no response. But I managed to find the link and file the flight delay claim. Surprisingly, I got respond from Nationwide (Trawick International uses Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company to underwrite their travel insurance policies). Telling me that I need to file the claim with American Airline for the flight delay expenses. Long store short, with the emails back and forth, they insist for me to do that and I tried to contact AA via email, chat, and phone call. All I got from AA was just Sorry!. Got back to Nationwide, they provide me the link to DOT claim it is airline responsible, see photo. The funny thing is DOT clearly states AA is only responsible for $12 food voucher, hotel, and transportation from and to between hotel and airport. Again email them back, and they still insist for me to file the claim with AA. This is the worst travel insurance company I ever deal with. They make me jump all hoops and still refuse to pay the claim.

I put in my claim 3-1/2 months ago and still no resolution. They keep saying they need my information in different formats which I comply with but it just goes on and on. The last request asked for more information on an issue and to expect a response within 15 days. That was 5 weeks ago and still no Response. Trawick outsources the claims to another company Surego but this has taken way too long.

Clearly they know how to take your money for the insurance but good luck getting the claim resolved. It appears to me that they try and drag this out until they exhaust you and you give up. Obviously I will not use this company again

Cannot even give this company one star. I made an error in my insurance plan and a day later they don’t want to refund me the money. Would never recommend this company. Have been using another company travelinsured they are the best and would stay away from Trawick by all means. I’m usually not one to complain but when a company does something unfair I believe they should be publicized.
