Awful. Not responsive. Horrible customer service. Thank goodness I go on Medicare next year. The only time in my life I’m glad I’m getting older. DH Cook is the absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve tried to elevate my issues to top management and at first they were responsive and then nothing! 8 more months…. Counting down

Hi! Beware of these crooks!
Even if a procedure or test is covered by LAW under the Affordable Care Act, these liars try to mislead you and send you bills. When you contact them, they lie about the charges and give you partially correct information with bits of lies once again to mislead you and try to force you to pay out of pockets. I rename this insurance company to Daniel H. Crook and Associates!!!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - We, as a family of 5, have had our CIGNA coverage thru third party administrator, Daniel H. Cook & Associates since 2017.

Jan 2022, my husband was diagnosed with a rare cancer, devastating to our family. For the past 2+ years everyone in the claims department at DH Cook has been absolutely wonderful, kind, caring and considerate. I've called many times with many questions.

The healthcare insurance industry is a complicated one for most people. There is an extremely high level of stress when you get an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) back that states you as the patient need to pay, especially when it is tens of thousands of dollars. It’s especially stressful when the primary income holder is the patient and a family’s income is significantly less because the patient cannot work due to cancer.

I have had EXTREMELY positive experiences for the past 2+ years calling DH Cook claims department. Every customer service representative I have spoken with the past 2+ years has been kind, considerate and helpful. I have had MANY claims denied, but when I call and explain the complicated situation, it turns out the claim was a covered expense. Sometimes, the automated system can’t recognize it and it needs to be manually completed. That was our case many times.

SHOUT OUT TO YANIBEL, who is a 100% professional in her job! She is ALWAYS kind, considerate, caring. She explains claims so I can understand my coverage better.

FOR ANYONE READING THIS … PLEASE, when you call DH Cook, these are real people like you and me. They want to help you, they are not out to get you! As stressful as your situation might be, instead of starting a conversation yelling, accusing, insulting the customer service representative, they are real people that have a 9-5 job like you and me. BE KIND and you may experience more kindness your way. Explain to the person that you don’t understand and try your best to keep calm.

The only reason I gave a star is because you cannot give none. DO NOT BUY INSURANCE with them. They do not pay the hospital bills and the hospital comes after you. The company should be named Daniel H CROOKS. They should lose their license and be forbidden to sell healthcare insurance. I had two charge denied for the most banal reasons. They delay and deny ALL CHARGES. Buyer beware!

This service is bogus. I've had so many issues setting up regular appointments because this place never verifies insurance. They also don't answer phone calls. My opinion, find something better.

I have been a blue cross blue shield member for multiple years. Whenever I need a simple question answered, I have never, ever been able to get through to a live person. It does not matter what day of week or time of day that it is. Once my wait time gets to 15 to twenty minutes, I just give up. Does BCBS know how horribly thier administrators are handling customers? Are their even anyone answering calls? If this was my business, I wouldn't have any customers.
