Terrible experience. We were hit by a tornado and suffered damage to the roof. The roof is over 20 years old and out of the blue - 2 weeks before the tornado, the company sent us a notice the roof was to old to be covered (but they did not reduce our premiums - in fact they went up). We didn't find a new insurance company before the tornado hit. Bent Oak's response - 'too bad.. your out of luck'. And they broke our house and farm into two policies so we had 'two' deductibles. As a result, they found a way to pay us absolutely $0 on the damage to our house or farm from the tornado. Terrible company. Don't trust them!

Not to be trusted. I sadly found out today that this company (among others in MO) does not have to follow state regulations or statutes governing insurance companies. No, they do not have to follow the law. The only way to deal with their fraudulent practices is with an attorney.
