Horrible agency. Tim seemed professional over the phone 2 days ago upon first dealing with him on quotes. I went in today to make payment. Sam, his other agent, was rushed to make it home to Columbia, so I didn't want to take up much time. However, Tim's numbers were incorrect, having quoted with a higher comp deductible, higher renter's policy deductible, not having upgraded my roadside service, and all of that had to be changed. Sam printed out my policy info and cards, and my name was spelled incorrectly. Sam left and apparently told Tim I was waiting to speak with him in the lobby. He kept me waiting too long so I approached his office where he was sitting in a ski cap, unprofessionally dressed, and doing nothing. A dog was running around in the office and a toy was near Tim's desk. I told him I was already uncomfortable doing business there due to mistakes and the aura there. Matters escalated to the point he aggressively kicked me out of his business and told me he was undoing my policy, which I had wanted anyway. I found a professional agent in Columbia that same day who wants my business, but he can't do anything until this refund issue is dealt with. Do not do business with this office, and I would go as far as to say not to do business with any Jefferson City Shelter agency office. Agents in more progressive areas seem to be more professional and on the ball when it comes to this company. Tim should lose his job due to his unprofessional behavior today, but what can you expect from an unprofessional agent that doesn't know how to spell on an insurance card
