I had taken this insurance out on my son's grandmother to make sure she would be buried properly. Well she has been left this earthly home for 5 months now and still have not received anything. When I purchased the insurance I told them she previously had open heart surgery which informed them of her heart condition. It was the cause of her death which I provided the death certificate that stated the cause of death. I provided the medical information that I could get. They keep asking for more information which ask for her husband to sign. They have been informed he has dementia and leave another state with his children. The medical records provided states she was hospitalized for a Uti and gi but not for heart issues. Yet, we still haven't received anything. The last time I called about it the person working the claim got smart with me and was unprofessional. It shouldn't take this long to process a claim especially when it was told she had heart problems and I specifically stated I just want to make sure she is buried. I was assured that the policy would pay even if she passed the day after I purchased the policy. I was even considering purchasing other policies but after going through all of this I respectfully decline the use of this company. I would use another company.

The service provided through phone conversations and written correspondence were exceptional while dealing with the death of my mother. There were no issues with the policy covering the cost of the funeral with the funeral home. I received my proportional share of the death benefit in a timely manner.

We called to cancel our policies in April, 2024. Received a notice from Lincoln Heritage in Sept. stating that the premiums were being paid by the Automatic premium feature of the policies. We didn’t know there was a cash value. Their customer service Dept. could care less about the fact that they are taking our money. We finally received cancellation forms & signed & returned them promptly. We asked that the cash value be sent to us. In this inflationary time the $366.00 & $364.00 would be a blessing! They will not refund the cash value to us because they used it to pay the premiums from April to Sept. instead of cancelling the policies. Lincoln Heritage only cares about money.

When my brother passed, Lincoln was very quick with the insurance amount and sent it straight to the funeral home as I has assigned the benefit directly to it.
I'm very pleased that this was done as promptly as it was as there are so many issues to finalize and one less means one less point of stress.
