We absolutely and without a doubt could not have done what Dan Larsen did in representing us throughout our insurance claim. I had never considered using a private adjuster until my very good friend and neighbor suggested that I look into it. We did, and by the grace of God we found Dan Larsen with Brown-O'Haver LLC. when we needed him the most. The adjuster that was sent out by our insurance company clearly did NOT have our interests in mind but obviously that of the insurance company that he worked for... The way things progressed from the onset with our insurance company's adjuster were extremely suspicious and we found that he had called his own contractor to meet with us before we were even aware. We felt that we were quickly losing control of the situation on the heels of losing practically everything we owned in the fire. It was simply too much to handle on our own in the devasted state that we were in. Dan had met with us and was extremely professional in presenting options and always let us maintain control. Dan consistently kept us informed and fought for us when we needed him the most. I didn't realize that dealing with the insurance company would be more difficult than the fire itself, but I felt like the insurance company was putting us through - well you know... When you hire someone to represent you in a difficult time like the loss through fire, flood or disaster, the working relationship should be at the pinnacle - the insureds experience stress like never before and the best advocate on your side is paramount. If you are ever in an unfortunate situation like we were for almost exactly 12 months, you NEED someone like Dan Larsen and the Brown-O'Haver team to represent you!!!

Where to begin…This man went ABOVE and BEYOND for my family after our brand new home sustained severe water damage from a burst pipe over a couple day period between signing the closing documents and finally getting our keys. Our insurance company was a complete nightmare and after a year of not being able to move in and them promising a check any day- the insurance company denied our claim!

Dan was a knight in shining armor to my family. He went through hours of email exchanges and sit downs with myself to write a comprehensive timeline of events to present to the insurance company for a reconsideration and when the insurance company was still being hard headed, he assisted further by connecting us with a top tier attorney who together, won our case via a settlement offer (MUCH more than I ever would have imagined in a million years) in just 3 days…3 days!… once he and our attorney presented the situation to the insurance company’s attorney.

Even after Dan was paid he still went to bat for us for over a year, leading communications to various people at the insurance company and later our mortgage lender who both dragged their feet with the various payouts (no fault of Dan’s).

Dan Larsen is a rock star. Such an asset to have on your side, especially when the insurance company wants to turn a blind eye to their customers. If anything ever happens to my home again requiring a claim, you better bet I am calling Dan first and not letting the insurance companies waste two years of my life and sanity again.

I dealt with a house fire last year and was completely overwhelmed from the minute it happened.
