When you buy a car they offer great insurance. You think, wow this would be great if I was out of work. Sign your name and pay. It’s that easy. When you actually need the help they make you jump threw hoops! My mom is on FMLA and not one payment has been paid. She’s sent so much paperwork while being disabled it’s ridiculous and all the money spent on faxing documents. In my opinion it’s not worth the hassle and a waste of money.

I broke my legs and needed surgury taking me out of work. I bought this insur for emergency situations thus disability insurance. I was still required to make the monthly car payment while I was off. I spent 40.00 faxing their form to work and drs. End result claim was approved and now they are adding that check to the balance of the loan not reimbursing me.However this insur DID NOT HELP IN MY DISABILITY AT ALL! I was with broken legs out of work and still required to continue making payments. This insur did NOT make payments for me while I was out of work. In fact they didn't help at all only added to my stress and costed me more money sending faxes over and over they claim they never got however confirmation was given in all faxes. This insurance does NOT do anything to help the situation if you get hurt and can't work!!!!!!! Waste of money!

My husband and I Purchased the Disability Insurance for my Mercedes Benz. Well when my husband became 💯 percent DISABLED and couldn't work anymore. We called the company inform them that he was 💯 percent DISABLED and we sent them a copy of his Disability PAPER from the State of Mississippi showing that he is DISABLED. We also filled out some paperwork from Central States Health and Life COMPANY That was SIX Months Ago. The Customer Service Is Very BAD.I would never tell anyone to Purchase INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY. STILL WAITING ON MED RECORD 😪. My husband severed his country for over 20 years he signed a Contract and he Honor 🎖 that Contract. WHY CAN'T YOUR COMPANY DO THE SAME AND HONOR THE CONTRACT!!! LINDA and MAXWELL COOLEY.

I found this company willing to help me, I would say they went well out of their way to help me, I am currently having an issue with my finance company and the balance they applied to my account which was a policy refund from this company. This company made absolutely no money off the policy I had purchased through my dealer, and two of their representatives that worked on my policy spent their time and effort to provide the best possible documentation to provide to my finance company.
To sum this up,
This company refunded my policy
Made no money off my policy
Continue amazing customer service knowing they Made no profit to fix mistakes made by other companies, and helped me deal with accounting mistakes made from my dealership and finance company.

I had spine surgery and was unable to work for six months. Central States Health and life took care of my pickup payments the whole time I was off work. Very good people to work with. I am very glad I purchased the policy!
I would recommend them to anyone purchasing a new vehicle you have to finance, you may never have to use it. But it's there if you should unexpectedly need it.

When I purchased my 2015 VW Passat I bought the disability insurance from Central States. Am I ever glad I did. In the following years I have submitted claims on two different occasions. Health issues. Anytime I called the office, I talked to one person, then I was conected to the person that could help me. All of my vehicle payments were made on time. I would suggest having the payments made directly to the bank you deal with if you make your payment in person. Even when I went back to work before a full payment would be paid. Central States pro rated it, and a partial payment was processed. I would suggest this company to anyone given the option during the vehicle purchase prossess.

If I could score this insurance company less I would. My father was sold this policy and without explanation of exceptions or regulations of what this policy covered. He was sick and was allowed to pay on this policy for years. When he finally passed two months ago we weren't given any notification of the policy not being valid. I (his daughter) had to call them more than once to be told because my father had pre existing health conditions this would not be valid. It didn't matter he paid for yrs we didn't get any refund of the money he paid. I just wish they would go through all info with customers before they are duped into purchasing a policy that isn't covering what they believe it would. No remorse nor care or concern was shown by the representative either. Very poor customer service over all from beginning to end. Make sure you read your policies and ask all the right questions if you even think about purchasing anything through them. I would NOT recommend them whatsoever! Very sad that at this day and age elderly people are still being taken advantage of by big insurance companies.

Do not let the dealership talk you into this. the finance manager even called a rep and asked about the disability insurance, and they said I was good to go, so i purchased it. Recently applied for the benefits, and they sent back their reason of rejection, and then it was kind of rude and condisending. They basically said it was my fault for not reading the contract, (which it may be) but after being told yes on the phone I got it anyways, But I did learn, that even if you were ever treated or diagnosed with arthritis in your toe and you ended up with a neck injury they will deny you. it also states no spinal problems, When they called from the dealership they said meaning spinal cord problems, well I have a back injury, and that is why they denied me. considering back injuries are the biggest disability in America, they will not pay out on this. so unless you some how lose and arm or leg, they will deny everything else.
