I had a homeowner’s policy with Corby for a year but shopped around and found a comparable policy with another provider for nearly half the price. Because my existing policy was up for renewal in less than a week, I notified Corby that I would not be renewing. He asked why, I explained I received considerable savings by switching. He accused me of a lack of courtesy by not comparing with him, finishing the conversation with “enjoy your cut rate provider Andy.”

I’ve been nothing but polite with this agent, including our in-person meeting and this email conversation. He was in a foul mood when I met him a year ago and was in a foul mood during this exchange. I’ve dealt with two agents at my new provider and they’ve been nothing but courteous and kind. After these encounters I feel justified with my decision to switch.

DISTURBING & VERBALLY AGGRESSIVE

This review is directly related to the agent - Corby Fehlman, and not Farmers Insurance. Farmers has been an excellent company which we have been with for over 30 years.
Corby is very difficult to get ahold of, does not return phone calls. Over a 2-3 week period, I attempted to reach Corby, on the first phone call he said he would look into things and return my call, he did not. I had to call and leave voice messages and wait for a return call, which he would only reply by email. This was regarding my premium renewal and an error, indicating I was in an at-fault accident, which I wasn't, consequently, this was driving my premiums up. I was disappointed that I had to do all the leg work without the assistance of my agent. I emailed him/left a voicemail, indicating such. He tried to blame the DMV and directed me to call them, (via email) which I did, and they had nothing indicating I was ever cited or at fault. I was trying to give him an opportunity to discuss this and resolve the issues. The final straw...with multiple policies, 5 cars, 2 houses, 2 motorcylces, Corby called, identified himself and proceeded to yell at me, angrily and hostile, that he "didn't like my tone", "get different insurance", "find a new agent". He yelled at me for 39 seconds before he disconnected the call, if I tried to interrupt, he just got louder. He left me feeling verbally assaulted, shaken and worried about what would happen should I need help with my houses or vehicles while I shopped for a new agent. This situation has been very disturbing.

1 star is too much for this guy. Ever since he took over I have only been able to get ahold of him 1 time. Finally canceled all my insurance with the company after 16 years.

i requested a quote to add 2 vehicles plus homeowners insurance and it took days to respond. when i complained about the time it took. he told me that if i did not like it to go somewhere else. i was looking to give him more business. unapologetic and lacks customer service skills

Corby and his office staff care about their customers and service is a top priority for his team. I highly recommend Corby's agency for anyone looking to insure their business, home, auto or any recreational vehicles properly .

Never in the office. I've stopped in at least 5 times in the past year and is never in. Had an issue with farmers making a mistake on my insurance and they were absolutely zero help.
