My mother-in-law invested substantially with Steve Netzel and seemed happy with him but when questioned about her assets and how they were doing, she wouldn't let us know. Now, 2 years after her death, her assets are still not divested even though Steve assured us that all would be finished within one month. He had her invested in very illiquid accounts and as of today, what should have been a large disbursement to her family has dwindled to absolutely nothing. He won't return phone calls (he talked to my mother-in-law while she was alive and investing, of course) and he locked out the executor of her account twice with no notice.

I am leaving this review so that if you are thinking of hiring a financial advisor, look closely at all the complaints and legal actions that have been lodged against him. Go elsewhere.

Very unprofessional. Steve has serious ego issues. The measure of someone's character is how they treat you when you can't benefit them and Steve definately showed his character. There are many good honest financial advisors out there. I don't believe this is one of them.
