Didn't refund me my premium. Didn't follow up or respond to the email they specifically told me I needed to send. Didn't return my phone call. Denied my claim. Insanely disrespectful claims person was condescending and took no responsibility for the fact that I did exactly what the insurance agent instructed me to do, she never followed through, and because they did not do their jobs correctly and I simply did as told, in regards to my insurance policy, by the fkn representative, I was not only denied but furthermore disrespected and talked down to, while someone in customer service did at the very least express empathy and no help, the person in claims was literally so disrespectful I couldn't believe I was speaking with a company anymore. Garbage. If you want to pay an insurance company, they'll do. If you want to have insurance that actually serves it's intended purpose to INSURE YOU, GO ELSEWHERE

It’s horrible. Had my unit broken into and these people have the nerve to ask if I had receipts from all the stuff I had. Like what I was a victim and treating me like a crook. Hands down worse company!!! And please don’t comment with your lying we can help you resolve your issue. Y’all are scammers.

Only been waiting around a year for the adjuster to do anything.

If it was resolved in August, why did we get a call in October denying the claim. It's obvious that we have a problem in establishing facts. I've spoken to an attorney about bad faith and will continue with this. The people left our unit unlocked for 4+ days without notification. Yet you see that as diligence. There were previous burglaries that we weren't informed of, no precautions taken to prevent further burglaries, yet you say they were diligent.

Went with minico for our storage facility insurance, big mistake. This is your typical scam insurance that will gladly take all your premiums but will find any reason to deny a claim. This happened to us, we’ve never missed or been late on any premium, and the first sign of trouble they bail on us. They denied a simple claim that should be paid. We damaged a car that was on our property, and they denied it on the basis it wasn’t here when they originally gave us the insurance. If you still want to go with this company after reading the plethora of bad reviews, more power to ya. Those that gave a good review clearly haven’t gone through a claim with them yet. Save yourself a lot of heartache, go elsewhere!

It all started in Nov. 2014 when I decided to rent a storage unit at Adams County Self-Storage. I was hastily sold a MiniCo policy, which I thought at the time was a wise investment since I was unsure of how long I would need the storage unit. I read the one-page document that you sign, which is titled “Tenant Responsibility Rental Agreement Addendum.” One line that sticks out—and is underlined—is that the policy covers “against burglary, storms, smoke, fire, earthquake, lightning, rodents and more.” Fast-forward to July 2015. The Denver metro area has seen some very severe storms with torrential rainfall. It ends up that items in my unit were damaged due to a STORM that moved through the area, which I firmly believe is covered in the addendum that I signed. I called to file a claim and was told that the damages incurred during a severe rain STORM are not covered and that storms in this policy refer to “wind”. To add insult to injury, the claims adjuster added that I should have asked for clarification about what storms meant when I took out the policy, which is difficult since “neither the storage company nor the leasing representative is an insurance agent.” In addition to the claims complaint, I never received any additional information from the insurance company regarding policies or further coverage information, thus leaving me as a customer without adequate information about their product.
