DONOT use this company ! They cancelled us without giving us or our mortgage company notice ! Our mortgage company sent us a letter to inform us that our insurance expired. This can cost you double the money if it’s expired out of your grace period. Fortunately our mortgage company was prompt in giving us notice in enough time. I will be reporting this company to the BBB.

I work for a roofing company and I have a homeowner that just got denied for a RE-INSPECTION. The roof has hail damage all over, missing shingles, lifted shingles and deck exposure. This insurance company has clowns working for them. DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT give this company your business. They just want your money and don’t want to pay once it’s time to do their due diligence. If you have them, CANCEL YOUR POLICY and go with anyone else. Even if it’s more expensive, when you need your insurance to come through for you it’ll be worth the extra money in the end. Insurance companies like this should be prosecuted for theft since they just want to put money in their pockets from their clients and never pay out. The relationship between an insurance company and a homeowner should be MUTUAL! This is a parasitic relationship.

This is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. They are affiliated with American Family and AFICS on behalf of American Family Insurance Company (I’ll leave them a review also:).
We had a bad wind/rain storm in early July and here it is the end of September and the roof is still not fixed. They have sent multiple adjusters, restoration companies and roofers to do estimates. Then they send us automated emails saying they will contact us in five days, (no contact) and then another automated email. My husband has spoken to at least three different claims adjusters. I guess they think that we are going to give up. But we aren’t. I wish we had never signed with them and someday when they actually get our roof fixed, we’ll find a new company.

Just put it this way. My house was insured with this company for almost 10 years. I was being very good client until when I have To use them for claims They open 4 claims for two problems I was never been told and educate by their agent how to manage anything they didn’t release any information to me. I open the claim I never closed it 3 Months after when I called to report the same problem close to the previous problem, they open new claims. Long story short they sent me a letter they told me they’re going insure me anymore because of the 4 claims Which supposed to be 2 . They told me I need to look for new insurance company because they’re done with me. Terrible experience l hard time to find a new insurance company. Be able to help me. Watch this people

I purchased renters insurance and added on the water damage policy. Without looking at the documents I had from several professional vendors, they rejected my claim stating I needed proof of the active leak. Called my adjuster, Lesly Meeky, once I had the documents she requested and haven’t heard back at all. I lost all of my possessions to water damage and had to move out of my rental. Had I known about these issues, I would have gone with a different insurance company.

Always suspect when there are pretty much only 5 star and 1 star reviews. The 5 star reviews are likely planted IMO. The Homesite customer service is non-existent. I had basic questions that couldn’t be answered after reaching out 4 times via email and phone calls. After my recent conversation with a customer service rep, they read me the comments on my account which were nowhere near accurate based on previous conversations and emails (all documented in writing). Of course, their comments were skewed to benefit their company. I’ll be letting this policy lapse and will go to their competitors. If anyone reads these reviews and still signs up with Homesite, you’re asking for a huge headache.

Once the initial field adjuster finished, it was all down hill for communication from a desk adjuster. Understanding that my house was seriously damaged from a tornado, causing a leaky roof with holes amongst other storm damage from water and such, the process was excruciatingly slow to payout an initial payment to enable my family (with small children) to be adequately protected while supplementing other significant (yet perhaps less urgent) damage. Communication from my desk adjuster was next to non-existent and seemed utterly incompetent without care for me and my family and delaying as much as seemed possible, so up to 48 days later now, we still haven't received our initial payout for our contractor to begin repairing our home. God help us when we begin any supplemental claims.

Do yourself a favor and never use this insurance. They lie, their customer service is rose than any other company I ever have dealt with. They will take money out of your account and then tell you it against policy to refund an overpayment although it was due to their mistake. They called and verified all info to be true with my bank and still refused to admit fault….even with evidence from my banking institution and the payment posted to my account. Instead of do the right legal thing the would rather lose a good customer. I am contacting the insurance commission as well as spread this information so that no one else has to go through this especially while losing an aunt to cancer and a cousin to suicide. This insurance I pay for my 92 year old grandmother so she doesn’t have to stress about it with her little social security check. I hope you guys are held accountable and go out of business
