No customer care at all. Chased for over 2 months with multiple emails and calls. To be told I was lying by AED. So I resent everything and no apology. I completed a formal complaint and they believe they haven't done anything wrong. They provided incorrect information at multiple points. The whole experience has been horrendous and it isnt even completed now. We are 4 and a bit months on from my house being destroyed by lightning. If you can avoid this company, please do. As I am now suffering mentally, physically and financially as a result of the stress caused by their inadequacy.

Absolutely shocking company. 2 years and still waiting for a reply / money I was owed from a claim with Tesco. Just wouldn't use an insurance company that has anything to do with them again.

our neighbors had a fire March 2022 - We only luckily suffered only smoke damage... its October 2023 and we are just about trying to close loose ends - that alone hopefully tells the reader how these guys operate. Incompetence is an understatement. The only reason we are getting to place to close this is because I feel managing them was my second job. Everyone is incompetent in this company
In 1.5 years, I got a total of 2-3 emails. They are allergic to emails. I don't think they know how to use a computer. You can't contact them - because loss adjusters don't carry cellphones. They also don't know how to return calls. It's taken us 5 months to install the carpets because they don't know the concept of "follow up". We initially thought it was the person who was handling our case (loss adjuster 1), but half way through they swapped our contact (without telling us...) and the second was just as incompetent. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. When your house goes through something like this you are already stressed and going through stuff, these guys will just make that worse for you.

They visit my property November 2022. July 2023 I finally got everything sorted. If you call and speak with Dean, he will be very friendly and tell you he will contact you back in 24 hours. He will not call you back.

They undervalued some of the contents.
They did not look at my invoices correctly. Check your settlement figure properly as they break it down by items.

They said they were waiting on a police report, however this took months, I had to contact the police myself. From reading other people reviews I am not the first to experience this.

They told me the handler on my case was on annual leave so my file would be on hold. Once she was back from annual leave she was then on home visits, which meant it took even longer.

Absolutely shocking! AED were assigned to my claim via Tesco Home Insurance. Slow, unresponsive, promise to provide updates within 24 hours and do not hear anything until I had to chase again 7-10 days after. Massively undervalued my burglary claim by at least £10,000 but as I was afraid to have to deal with them again and go through an appeal process I just accepted. I didn't renew my home insurance policy with Tesco for the sole reason that i was afraid that i might have to deal with these guys again. A basic burglary claim took over 6 months to settle. At the early stages of my claim they kept passing the blame onto the Metropolitan police for the delay saying they were waiting for a police report and this was ongoing for 4 - 5 weeks. Everytime i called them the same response "the report hasn't come in yet, we'll chase again" I finally got fed up, thought I would chase the police force myself and managed to get the police report within 24 hours! it just proves how much they lie and fob people off to buy themselves more time. I have never dealt with loss adjustors before but they were honestly disgracefully bad at basic customer service. WOULD DEFINITLEY NOT RECCOMEND!!!!!!

AED were appointed to my claim by ageas. They were great at first and they made visits to the severely damaged building within weeks. They filled me full of confidence with their abilities. Don’t be fooled. Ask for a different firm. After sourcing quotes myself for the work they appointed their own contractors to quote the work who gave a quote £10,000 lower than my 2 contractors. They then took over 4 weeks to “review” the quotes. They never remained in contact and I found I was having to phone every other day to which I was just being told it was in review. I finally had enough and it took me 14 phone calls and the request to speak to management in the same day to get some movement. They then wouldn’t consider a different quote other than their own. I complained to Ageas who pushed them into moving the case along due to the building being dangerous due to an explosion. They left us with this situation for 2 months. We had high winds and bad weather threatening the collapse of the building. AED have told Ageas that they remained in contact with me throughout, which they haven’t. I wish I’d read reviews on them before accepting them as the loss adjusting company. They lie! They need investigation!!! Terrible company and the office staff are rude! Ageas now won’t do anything about the complaint as AED lied to them and told them they’d kept in contact but they haven’t. Professing this further as it seems a running trend with r his company!!!

Do not use. Will reply once or twice and then months between contact .

Won't answer phone. Won't respond to emails.

Tesco insurance knows this and still use them . Just as bad.

Fight to appoint a different loss adjuster ..

I was a victim of theft and Tesco bank passed my claim to AED. It’s been 1 year and 4 months and the claim is still in investigation stage. They respond back every 4 months if lucky. This is the worst company to deal with any claim. Don’t know how they are still in business
