Used Defend insurance on a holiday in Australia .While there my car had a tiny dent which translated into $600. When I got home I I claimed this on my policy which turned out to be very easy , just send copies of cert , car hire agreement , licence . My claim took a big longer to process due to problems on my side re. electronically sending the documents. I was contacted via mobile and the operator was really helpful and cleared up the outstanding queries . I received my payment a short time after.

Thank you for everything. A stressful time because of the engine failure on a 'new- second hand car only after a month of ownership. This was my first left hand drive 'European' left hand drive bought car. That, along with trying to find a competent authorised garage to do the work on a 2017 Landrover Discovery Sport...new timing chain & cam shaft etc which required the engine to be removed and taken apart. Also having to deal with the language barrier! However I was never so glad to have bought the insurance warranty from Defend. They were extremely patient, helpful and professional all the way through. They communicated in English with me, in Hungarian with my wife and in Romanian with the mechanic. I can't say enough and on top of that, they paid out promptly and without issue to our mechanic who was also very happy. So many thanks again! Kind regards Paul

Defend Insurance provided Gap cover on our Motor vehicle. Our vehicle was unfortunately stolen and on notifying Defend, they acted promptly and engaged with our Primary Insurer resulting in a quick resolution. Communication was very good and when the handler wasn't available, somebody else within the organisation dealt with our queries, which was very reassuring. On approval of the claim, the funds were allocated almost immediately. I would happily use and recommend Defend for my future Insurance needs.

Fantastic service from I car insurance. Got a hire car from OKMobility in Majorca and when returned the vehicle had a dint. We got charged for the dint and any other marks on the vehicle.
Got charged in excess of £800. Sent photos in a simple claim application which was very easy. Got an email saying due to excessive traffic I might experience a slight delay.
After about one week, I received an email saying my claim had been accepted and the money would be in my Account in the next few days.
Great service and I highly recommend having this insurance if you hire vehicles abroad.

Absolutely shocking experience. Multiple claim denials where the reasonings don’t match (reasons - spark plugs aren’t covered, wiring isn’t covered, we can’t be sure it’s the part and not the seal, manufacturer defect. No consequential damage and no new evidence just to name a few. The issue clearly states on both diagnostics VCT solenoid failure..) After a month of back and forth they had agreed that the part was at fault but do not cover consequential damage, only to then receive an email from their complaints team denying the claim due to no new evidence. At our expense we took this for a second diagnostic to provide more evidence and now they want additional photos. Ford have more than happily explained the issue and how this should be covered but absolutely 0 help from this company.

Recently I had to use the services of Defend. After many years of trouble free driving - I had an excess insurance policy with them and had to make a small claim. I found the whole experience excellent, trouble free and straight forward. After providing the initial requested information everything went very smoothly and final payment was received today, 4 weeks approx from our first contact.
