We stayed for 10 months in a 3 BR duplex and it was super nice! The unit was renovated and the included appliances were super new like 2020 and after. The unit and bathroom / shower were also super clean. The central AC / Heater was also quite nice probably due to also being new. The maintenance was very responsive whenever we had even the most minor problem. Heck when our dishwasher simply had a bad smell (nasty one albeit) they replaced the WHOLE FRIGGIN THING !!!! for a new one !!! They are super helpful and the management is super nice, they sometimes held these cute little breakfast events and giveaway events. They did not charge any extra fees or do any random inspections, and any scheduled quarterly inspections or maintenance we were given at least 3 days notice. They refunded our deposit fully. They have an excellent location despite being a bit far from campus (it is a 10-15 min car drive anyway) but if you don't have a car it is the next best thing to living on campus because of the following reasons (i would say even better):

1) it is a 10 min walk from lafayette limo's office, a shuttle bus company that takes you directly from chicago o'hare airport to their office. Perfect for international students who JUST landed at the airport. One bus ride and you're home!

2) 1 min walk from dollar general (a mini supermarket for those not from the US)

3) It is a 1 min walk from the bus stop. Buses run till midnight or a little past. (during normal service weekdays)

4) It is a 10 min bus ride to Walmart (a mega big supermarket) and other big places like meijer (also a mega super market) and menards (a super big hardware store that sells light bulbs, lamps, plumbing, electric, ...etc that kind of stuff). Lots of food / fast food stores, and other stuff all this is 10 min ride away.

5) From walmart you can take two OTHER busses that go to two completely different sides of the campus in an additional ~20 mins. These other busses also run till midnight or a little past on weekdays and they also go to the City Bus Center (CBC) which means you can go from the CBC to anywhere in lafayette/west lafayette. One of these two busses (the 4B) also goes to the islamic center directly. Chase bank is a 10 min bus ride from walmart using the 1B.

6) They are located right beside a water tower so the water comes super clean and suitable to drink.

7) I am not sure if (the following) is still the case because I have heard it is no longer allowed. Nonetheless, you used to be able to take the 24E from Redpoint, a 10 min walk from 52 flats, which took you to campus in 10 mins.

I have lived at 52 Flats for over a year now! The units are very nice, and were newly renovated when I moved in. The outdoor areas are spacious and well-kept. Any maintenance requests are always completed promptly with courtesy notices of when they occur and the opportunity for you to select specific times or request ASAP maintenance. Everyone I've communicated with have been helpful and friendly. They are happy to try and work with you if you have any issues, to find a solution. They also try to plan at least one event per month that include free food, gift cards, raffles, coffee/tea trucks, et cetera. I have not personally used them yet, but there are also have several firepits available for use!

DO NOT give this company a dime!!! They won’t let you see this lease until you give them a deposit. We made the mistake of giving them the deposit only to find out that the lease is very predatory. Not only is the lease predatory, but they’re also trying to charge us more for rent than what is listed on their website. Now they don’t want to give our deposit back. They’re a bunch of crooks. Save your time and your money and go somewhere else!!!

The apartment is fully renovated. It looks brand new inside. The outside they are redoing the parking lot and landscaping. It should look nice when done. Close to Purdue. Friendly staff and maintenance request taken care of quickly. Very happy here

Fully renovated on the inside that is very nice. Great location to get to grocery stores, restaurants, and Purdue campus very easily and quickly. No complaints to be said about the complex or management.
