I'm really grateful to Troy & Corey for helping us during our family crisis. They are very hardworking and nice people, who always made sure we feel comfortable and answered all the questions. Sometimes we got emails at night which means he was still at work, working on our claim. He made sure we had enough supported documents to prove our claim. We collected $321K after the insurance company offered us $28K. Still can't believe what we received for the damages. After months of being ignored, lied to, having my kitchen completely torn apart and not living in my house I couldn’t get the insurance company to play, let alone play fair. I was at a total loss for how to proceed with my insurance claim. I scoured the internet for what to do and read about public adjusters. I contacted a public adjuster locally but because my claim didn’t meet his threshold, he referred me to Troy Willis.

Almost overnight, the weight of everything lifted. Within days (and during the holidays) Troy came to my house, fully assessed what was going on, wrote and submitted the proper documentation to the insurance company for payment. He was thorough, available at all times to talk, communicated clearly and was able to manage our expectations well.

The insurance company continued to try and play the game but in the end and only because of his experience and understanding of how insurance works, construction, laws, I was able to finally get a fair payment on my claim. For reference, I was only able to secure 13% on my own of what Troy was able to initially secure for us.

If we ever have another claim, I will have zero interest in contacting or working with the insurance company directly. I wouldn’t suggest anyone do it either. They are trying to trap you and will if given the chance. Instead, contact someone who has an interest in helping you handle the entire process. Unless you work with insurance companies you have no understanding to the extent of what they are responsible for covering and they will never openly share the information with you.

Lastly, during the process we had a vendor come to our house to offer us a quote on a repair. He was totally independent from Troy and of his own volition told us that we had hired a well respected and knowledgeable public adjuster. He had seen him on other claims and admired his work. That was an extra bonus that made me feel like we hired the right person.
