What a frustrating appointment...We met with Mona. We have never had to deal with medical insurance because we have always been covered with my husband's employer until retiring. Needless to say, we were starting at square one for our knowledge base regarding this issue. From the outset, Mona literally sat behind her desk and looked at us, apparently waiting for us to ask the right questions. Talk about trying to pull information from someone. Wow. I even acted out the pulling. Didn't help. When we finally got to the point of talking about deductibles & coinsurance, she just kept repeating her mantra, which left out about 3 KEY words that would have shortened our visit by at least 30 minutes had she used them. After 45 minutes, she accidentally dropped those 3 key words and everything made sense, finally. My husband and I shared with her at the end of this session that we both excelled in math. Basically saying the problem with the communication was on her end.
However, to her credit, she took my unsolicited advice extremely well. She didn't seem bothered by it at all, which is strange actually. She almost seems robotic, but a nice one at that.
I would not and will not recommend her to anyone, unless I don't like them. Lol. In the end, we did get some coverage, at least temporarily.
