A friend referred me to Ron after my house caught on fire. I was completely overwhelmed and distraught. I had no clue where to even start. Ron and his team swooped in and handled EVERYTHING!! From mitigation, to documenting losses, dealing with our insurance company and the rebuild. They made an impossibly difficult situation seamless. Ron and his team are efficient, trustworthy, honest, competent and supportive. Ron and his entire team have been our greatest blessing!! It’s an absolute honor to be able to HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in the same unfortunate situation. His contractors are absolutely top notch. I have worked with many contractors over the years from owning rental homes and it’s rare to find contractors who are able to see your vision, replicate it and then elevate it. The A Schoeneman team are consummate professionals, extremely experienced in fire damage not only in Illinois but around the country and in my own state of New Jersey. Following our recent garage fire and smoke ingress into the house, I place a call to Ron Schoeneman and in a matter of days, he and his team were on airplanes out to New Jersey to manage the entire situation. Their expertise, ability to negotiate with insurance and bring in the right amount coverage, whether it be for cleanup, building or contents is five-star. They deserve 10 stars!!! I am not one for writing reviews, but they are worthy of this one. The entire team at Schoeneman are absolutely amazing. A vehicle drove through my sister's condominium unit with a direct hit to both bathrooms. The unit flooded, and water sat in the unit for several days. After 9 months of battling with the insurance companies, the association and contractors hired by association we contacted Mitch Schoeneman regarding the nightmare.

Mitch promised us that he would take care of working with the insurance companies and assured us that his recovery team could manage all of the repairs. I was a little skeptical since no one had kept their word previously. I read all the google reviews and researched the company including the Better Business Bureau rating. We took a leap of faith, and it was the best decision we made.

I am in the customer service business and have high expectations. We prepared ourselves for several mishaps and some delays. They kept every promise they made and exceeded our expectations. They went over and beyond the promises made to us. The communication throughout the project was great. The construction crew starting with the foreman and his entire team were kind, considerate and hard working. Their work is truly exceptional.

If you need a public adjustor and/or a professional restoration company look no further!! Schoeneman & Co Inc. should be your only choice.

Let me start off by saying A Schoeneman & Co is absolutely the most amazing company i have ever worked with. The quality of their work is unmatched and I was so impressed with the work they did reconstructing my home. I couldn’t recommend this company enough, seeing my home destroyed by fire was devastating, but the team at A schoeneman & co brought my spirit and hope back to life after seeing the incredible job done. I just want to say a huge thank you to Ron and his team for allowing me to maintain my relationship with my kids. Ever since they did my claim for my home in Northbrook it allowed me to reconnect with my family in a brand new rebuilt home. I am the kind of person that never buys anything without reading the reviews first (I’m in the process of purchasing a lot of stuff now, details to follow). So, if you’re reading this, we have something in common. I will try and be as succinct as possible (almost impossible for me) The date was September 26, 2024. I live in Saint Petersburg Florida and the reports were coming in that hurricane Helene would hit my area. I have been living here for 8 years, so after living through 8 years of hurricane seasons and hearing about the big one that would hit Tampa Bay this year, I shrugged my shoulders and decided to stay in my house. That evening the winds were blowing the waves in the bay crashing against the sea walls. No big deal, I’ve seen it before. My wife, my dog and I were all tucked in bed safely knowing that my full house generator would kick in if the winds got too bad. All of a sudden, I started getting cold and wet and realized that there was water up to the top of my bed. UH OH.
At day break after the hurricane subsided and I was able to get to my front door. I realized that we had over 3 feet of water in the house. This was the most catastrophic event in my life and in Tampa Bays life. I quickly called my friends to come and rescue us. My cars were flooded and we were trapped.
My brother called me that morning to see how we were doing. One of his best friends is a 20+ year retired public adjuster (I had never even heard of one). His exact words to me were… “Don’t even think about dealing with your insurance company without hiring a public adjuster”. He gave me Ron’s number at A. Schoeneman & Co.
This had to be the best advice I had ever gotten from my big brother (I am in my 60’s); I could not imagine dealing with all of this without the help of Ron and his team. I watched all of my friends going crazy dealing with their insurance companies (writing lists of their stuff etc.…) I also listened to some of the settlements they were getting. How would I rebuild? Ron’s team came to my house the day my insurance companies’ adjuster was there to evaluate my losses. The details of my belongings being logged for hours upon hours.
Once I saw the report that Ron and his team submitted to my insurance company, I finally was able to breath. The details were astounding! Finally, the settlement came in. It was pretty much exactly what I “valued” my belongings at.
So, if you jumped to the end of this review. Here is my recommendation to you. If you made it through your catastrophic event and are ready to call your insurance company. Stop reading this and pick up the phone and Call A. Schoeneman & Co. you will not be sorry. This is what they do. They speak insurance (trust me you don’t)! I have given Ron permission to give out my phone number if you want to speak to me about my experience.
