It's easy to underestimate the complexity and time commitment necessary to do a great job transitioning from a scrappy group of friends building a high value product into an effective business - with payroll, banking, permits, insurance, etc. And for many (like me - twice), that initial transition takes place without any dedicated operational expertise.
