Shut down this insurance scam of a company! I had someone rear ended me and I called them and they said we will take care of it tomorrow since it was 9pm. I sent them all pictures and even video and it took them 4 months to reply after I left emails and voicemail with no response. They told me to pay the deductible. I said why? I did not cause the accident and then was asked if I want them to file a claim with the other insurance company!? Well no shit! I was paying almost $500 for insurance with them. I switched to State Farm because my quote they gave me is $200 cheaper! Shut down this scam company!! Not once the called to check up on me about my accident! You guys are trash as a insurance company!

If I can give a negative stars review I would. I've been dealing with this insurance company since July 2024 and still have not received a resolution. Stay far away from this company. Carlos Gonzalez never returns call nor emails. I think they feel someone will get tired and give up. Well not me. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I'm not exaggerating. May be time to get a lawyer involved.

As a first-time claimant after my car accident, I had no idea how to handle the process, and my insurance company provided no guidance. I only heard from my adjuster once and was never told I needed to contact the other party's insurance. When I finally reached the other party's insurance, they said they had never heard from my insurance company. Despite calling my adjuster and her supervisor multiple times, I was always sent to voicemail with no callbacks. I had to figure everything out on my own, including dealing with the other insurance company to get my car out of the tow yard. The lack of communication and support from Ashlie was incredibly frustrating and stressful. I feel like I’m only paying for insurance because it’s the law—not because I’m actually receiving any services.

The adjuster for this insurance company is by far the one I will ever deal with in my lifetime. Simply avoid doing business with this company if you can. They had a check I’m supposed to receive, prolonged for two months and counting over verifying a car seat/ stroller combo that was in the car at the time of the accident. Everytime I sent them what they needed, they’d wait weeks (while I was patiently waiting and anticipating for the check to arrive) until they reach out to me again just to tell me something else was needed even though they mentioned in each call that the check would be sent out. Overall, terrible company and they definitely need to make improvements all around because they show no consideration for the daily lives of the people who they directly have an impact on.

I’ve been dealing with Anchor General since December 15, 2024, and it has been a nightmare. Agent Shanna Jones and her supervisor Kelly Kosttyak have consistently failed to return my calls, leaving me completely in the dark about my claim. Shanna’s phone always goes straight to voicemail, and I’ve yet to receive any follow-up or resolution.

The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable, especially from an insurance company that is supposed to provide support during stressful situations. Avoid Anchor General and don’t waste your time or money. You truly get what you pay for with them, and it’s not worth the hassle.

I really can’t even give this joke of an insurance company one star. I have never in my 40 years of owning an insurance company dealt with such a screwed up company.
I was in an accident where their client rear ended me 10 days ago and I have injuries that they are ignoring. And they haven’t even came out and looked at my vehicle to confirm that it’s totaled. I have a bent screw in my neck from a surgery done 11 months ago and I’m in desperate need of medical care which this insurance company has completely ignored even though their client is at fault. I have made over 5 calls to the adjuster leaving a message each time and have not received one call back. My insurance company has also tried to reach her with no luck.
I guess today I will call the State Insurance Commissioner and file a complaint. Because I don’t know what else to do and this place who claims to be an insurance company sure isn’t helping. They’re just causing a huge claim against themselves as I get progressively worse waiting for them to get my medical care going.
With this being said I sure hope you don’t use this company because obviously the only thing that their good at is ignoring you.

Anchor General is the only auto-insurance that has employees charge you $15 extra just to pay your bills in person here in northern California... I remember the employees saying in front of me "now we can all have free pizza at the office" in the late 2000s (in Sacramento, CA). They are a bunch of crooks that didn't accept payments unless they extorted you with this small fee... They already overcharge you for the smallest amount of coverage (more than $1,000 being the cheapest 20 years ago). I didn't know anything about car insurance when I was a new driver back in the days... But I can't believe these damn crooks still exist because they are the worst auto-insurance up there with Progressive Insurance when it also comes to cancellation fees hidden when you decide to get rid of them.

There need to be a class action lawsuit filed against this company! They are a scam company! The last three checks they sent bounced in my bank account, with my bank charges me a fee because of their fraudulent checks!! If you like to be part of out class action lawsuit please respond to my review.
