I became a client because they had a very clear and well-thought out plan for making sure I will have enough money to retire on without being concerned that I will run out. The firm is focused on preserving your wealth during down times, so if you believe (as I do) that we're in for a bear market for the next few years you should seriously consider signing up with APO Financial. They listen to what you want to accomplish and present detailed plans to how to accomplish those goals. It's well worth your time to at least check out what they offer, as it is not the same as most firms that are looking to sell you investments.

Recently, we received a mailer invite to an APO seminar. We confirmed over 2 weeks ago and made several accommodations for coverage of our children's activities and my wife rearranged a work trip to be able to attend. However, the day before the seminar, Arissa called to uninvite us claiming that we had attended their seminar at Eddie V's last year and did not sign up with them so they needed our spots for "new" people. We have never set foot in Eddie V's so their records are incorrect. We probably attended one elsewhere but were not seriously looking to switch brokerages in 2021 since the market was different last year. Regardless, they should not discriminate against people who have previously attended when they are the ones inviting us again to begin with. Sadly, we are actively looking for a new brokerage firm but will not be considering APO after the unprofessional way this was handled. If this is the way they treat potential clients, we certainly would not trust them to manage our portfolio. Additionally, Arissa could benefit from some customer service training in my opinion.
