We were long time, happy customers of Bidlake Agency when we left purely for financial reasons. Be careful what you wish for. Although our newer insurance company was a lower cost, customer service was poor at best. We're now back with Bidlake Agency again where we have great coverage at a competitive rate. Our new agent, Barb Donahue, is a gem.

I had a really negative experience I want to share. I've been doing business with the Bidlake Agency for over 15 years. I moved to a new address almost a year ago and went in to update my address. A few months later I get a call from Bidlake saying my account has been canceled due to none payment, so I go in to pay the bill and get my insurance reinstated. I find out that the mailing address is not correct, so I updated the information for a second time and pay the balance. Out of sight out of mind I guess, a few days ago I received a packet from Bidlake Agency with returned bills. Again bills never delivered to my current address. So naturally I swing by the office to rectify the situation and very much to my surprise I'm greeted by the owner (John Bidlake) and he does not even say hi or step into the office. He simply says "we're not doing business with you anymore, you can go somewhere else. I was shocked to be treated so poorly after so many years of business. I understand that he may not be able to or want to do future business but to be spoken to so poorly was a shock. After all, I didn't even realize that there was a problem because I haven't even received a bill. Had I have known that I owed money I would have been down to take care of the issue immediately. I tried to explain the problem but he wouldn't even listen. I highly recommend you don't do business with this guy, he's super nice as long as he thinks he'll make a buck but is rude as hell if there's a problem. Even if it's his mistake. If he would have treated me like a human being, I wouldn't even be sharing this but because he was so rude and disrespectful I can't help but try to deter other people from making the same mistake of doing business with him.
