Members who have bad experiences, you are not alone. Providers get the same service as you! Long wait times, hang ups, I don't know's etc...I started the credentialing process for my own counseling practice in September of 2024. All of the other insurance companies that I was working with to get credentialed, completed the process within a month or two. 7 months later, I'm still trying to get it figured out and get paid from BCBSNE. They offer software to submit claims, but don't support the software. One person is trying to help me, but he doesn't know either. He is the only reason they get 1 star instead of 0!! Why not have their own portal or make availity an option like all of the other providers? Or at the very least, if you're going to offer software to submit your claims, TRAIN YOUR STAFF to understand it also!!! And the reviewer Dorina, that gave them 5 stars lol, she must work there because there is no way this is an honest and accurate review!!

BCBSNE is dedicated to serving all members and Nebraskans being there for people during the most trying life events. They value their employees, providing fair compensation, great benefits, a beautiful office environment, on-site wellness center, and a flexible schedule. BCBSNE employees have the option to work remotely - another way to support employees and their needs. I like taking the stairs and the ones at the BCBSNE are clean, well-lit with natural light - a pleasure to make the best choice for my heart and well-being!

Keep dropping covered RX’s I have used for years, no option to replace them or option that doesn’t integrate with other treatments. Doctor says he is as frustrated as I am with no answers or explanations from BCBS. They cover something’s well, but the level of frustration is to high to move up my rating

Absolutely the worst insurance I’ve ever had! We pay $700 per month and it really doesn’t cover much of anything! I went to the chiropractor, no X-rays no fancy machines and I have to pay $100. I had to get labs and an ultrasound at my hospital ha can’t wait for the bill! You would think $700 a month would be enough to cover all my damn medical bills. Absolutely pathetic insurance! Not sure why it’s so different because I have had blue cross through Iowa for many years and I paid almost $300 a month and it was absolutely the best insurance I ever had! We are canceling our “Nebraska” blue cross immediately! We are the middle class working parents. We cannot afford $700 and low quality coverage.

Terrible company, will do everything they can to not pay claims. Their "specialists" will determine nothing is medically necessary.

I would give half a star if possible. Worst insurance I have ever had. Ever. I'm spending money on pointless treatments while others are constantly being denied to my frustration as well as my physician's. None of my questions ever seem to get answered either. They have essentially been worthless as an "insurance" provider.

Met my deductible and had PT preapproved and you guys just didn’t pay it. Now months later I’m going back and forth with you guys trying to it paid for a treatment you preapproved. You also are just delaying my procedure for no reason. I get Botox for dystonia every 3 months. The only FDA treatment is Botox. It’s not some experimental treatment it’s the clinical treatment. Stop playing games, you are delaying care and hurting people.
