Recently, my need to lower the cost of insurance premiums on home and auto coverage motivated my contacting four different insurance agencies. The initial conversation with each of three agents was the same: the collection of basic information and the promise of quotes for premiums—all sent within minutes of ending the call. Not until my conversation with a fourth agent, Dino Manhal with Carmen Wilson State Farm Agency, were my questions related to budget and coverage heard. Manhal listened patiently to my hope that personalizing coverage might serve as a factor in lowering the cost of premiums. He thoughtfully took time to explain changes available through State Farm and made recommendations that would lower cost, while maintaining safe coverage. Over several days, Manhal answered questions and graciously made slight adjustments to policies at my request. I could not be more pleased with the outcome! Affordable coverage that protects my home and autos that, thanks to State Farm and the expertise and kindness of Dino Manhal, I understand and trust!

Carmen & her team have been very very helpful to me. She has given me Great insurance advice that is best for me. Her & her team have always been helpful especially with my deer accident. I’m very disappointed at the way I was treated by this agent. How can an agent be so rude to correct a simple problem I called with a concern and a missing statement. Instead of being helpful, the reply was that my concerns couldn’t be the truth. Then after I provided proof and waited a week because the agent never responded back to resolve the matter. The office proceeded by saying it was my lack of diligence that the mistake has occurred. The agent will not take my call and only willing to correspond with email. The responses were so rude and unprofessional. First was not knowledgeable and gave me wrong information then claim I was not telling the truth. Have been a Statefarm’s client over 25 years, never had dealt with such an unfit agent. Carmen doesn’t understand it’s not about the reason of the address situation but about how she treated her customer. Claiming the statement being sent to the wrong address wouldn’t have been possible in the first place, and that address change was done months ago, then switched her story to that I have never changed it correctly proves she didn’t know what she was doing. She told me she can’t just take my word to change the address without I provide legal documents from an attorney to convince her! Which was later confirmed is not the case by statefarm headquarter. I wished she would try to figure out the reason of the problem and work with me instead of accusing me. When I asked her to stop blaming me and just take care of the issue she told me to go to the head quarter and she has nothing to say to me. I was so shocked by her response I never contacted her or her office again and have since switched agent as suggested by the Statefarm customer service representative. She has no idea how unprofessional her demeanor is and it makes Statefarm look very bad by association. I have always been very satisfied with Statefarm, that’s why I’m so surprised by this agent’s way of handling a simple problem and escalating it to involve attorneys and headquarter is baffling.

After getting a new car and a new driver - my insurance rates went through the roof. I do not like insurance shopping at all - no offense to the good people at the State Farm office. Carmen, Grace and the team made it so easy - I knew nothing about them too much since we just moved to the area but took a chance on the agency with the great google reviews even though there were offices closer. Wow am I glad that I did since I just needed my current insurance and info and a couple pieces of information to get a real quote vs. a comparison engine. Everything went through in less than a couple days and I saved about $150 per month from what I had which is significant. They also pointed out a couple spots where coverage could be improved. They have been great to work with from day one and I hope it continues. It was probably the least painful and most impactful comparison shopping process. With 4 drivers and 3 cars - they made the payments within reason. Do yourself a favor and call them. You don’t get professional, reasonable, and responsive often but I feel like Carmen’s office provides all three.
