I am writing this letter of commendation for Ms. Andrea Wright. This past week I was faced with a problem that was devastating and extraordinarily upsetting. My phone call to Cobra was answered by Ms. Wright and from that moment on I felt I was in the hands of a truly exceptional professional and human being. She understood the complex issues involved, offered me as much comfort as she reasonably could, and formulated a strategy to address the problem. That was great but even better was the way she calmed my fear without unrealistic promises but rather thoughtful understanding of what happened and how it may be resolved. Her sensitivity was sincere and provided me with hope. Over the next day and through the long holiday weekend while I was on pins and needles, I truly believed she was trying her very best on my behalf. And on Tuesday morning she called with terrific, terrific news and she was as thrilled with it as I (or at least close to it as I was walking on air).

I can’t say enough about Ms. Wright except she is an everyday hero that makes our country what it is and your company one of the finest in the nation. There is no hyperbole here when I say Cobra is fortunate to have her. Please accept this letter as my highest commendation of Ms. Wright for a job very well done.

Whoever the guy who does the voicemail (john i guess)BLATENTLY LIED TO ME.
I quit my job at 9/24 and that's when my cobra benefits became eligible, he informed me that I had 60 days to activate my benefits, and that I could start paying my cobra in November because i didn't want my benefits in October. I paid November, and December and got my medications covered for those months.
Well, January rolls around and my account has expired, cant even log in to make a payment, apparently my payments i made in Nov and Dec really counted for Oct and Nov, and my grace period gave me some coverage in December.
Now I am expected to pay for December and January.
I SPECIFICALLY was told by John (or whoever the guys voice on the answering machine is) that if I didn't want coverage for October than I could just start paying in November because it was within 60 days of the 9/24 date when I quit ... I am basically having to pay for a month I didn't use when I was told I didn't have to.
I can assure you this was NOT a miscommunication, it was a complete mistake and lack of consideration from him to me.
