I was disappointed with my time with Compass. I opened a Brokerage account and a Roth IRA with them about four years ago. Instead of maxing my Roth like I asked them to, they kept all of my money in the brokerage account. Additionally, they invested my money into low yield bonds and trash mutual funds. In 2022, I called them and asked them to max my Roth for that year, under the assumption that they had been maxing my roth for the prior two years. This is when I learned that they had not maxed my roth until that point, and that they were investing my money as if I was planning on retiring in 5 years, rather than 40. In other words, they played it too safe for my age and intentions.

That matters. Anybody will tell you that if you’re young, invest aggressively and get that compounding interest early.

After four years with compass retirement solutions, I LOST money post fees. I paid Compass to mismanage and lose my money for me.

If you’re young and looking to build your wealth, go ahead and avoid this company.
