I have been doing business with American Family for 16 years. I needed to file a claim and did so once ONLY ONCE and due to this the company is dropping my coverage. This is absolutely ridiculous and a perfect example of the unethical conduct of this company. As long as they are collecting the premium everything is perfect but if you actually need to file a claim, expect that they will drop your policy.
UPDATE, after this office would not renew my policy 3 months ago because according to them Corporate decided to not cover my area I was contacted yesterday asking if I wanted to get a quote for a policy. I responded to them that they didn't cover my area and was told by the office that they absolutely cover my area. COMPLETELY DISHONEST COMPANY. Perfect example of unethical business practices. They lied 3 months ago when they said they no longer covered my area and that was a corporate decision that was out of their hands. The problem was that I actually used it after 16 years of paying the premium.

Dan Freihaut agency has been terrific every single time I have needed them. My vehicle was heavily damaged in a hailstorm, and they were the first phone call I made. Loren took my call, smoothed everything over, and reassured me that it was going to be fine. I had trouble getting a shop to even look at my truck anytime soon. No worries, Loren took care of that immediately. Then, I had trouble finding a rental car while my vehicle was in the shop. No worries, Loren saved the day again. I cannot express my gratitude enough for all that this agency did for me. I don't even live near the office, but I could not imagine going anywhere else. I want to make sure I mention Kim as well. This agency in particular is pretty fantastic – it seems like I am calling, at least once a week for my business to request paperwork Kim is usually the one who I speak to, and she is always very cheerful and happy to help.

I have even had them call me in the past to mention new discounts, and ways I could save money that I was unfamiliar with- honestly, nothing but good stuff to say!
