BIG Thank you to Michael Garafolo with Davison & Davison group. Without them I would have not been able to deal with my homeowners insurance. After Hurricane Milton in Sarasota FL, I sustained damage to my home. I filed a claim with my homeowner insurance and they completely denied the entire claim. I called Michael and he stepped in. He was aggressive and confident. After two months my insurance admitted they were wrong and I received money from them to repair my home! DO NOT ever try to deal with insurance on your own. Do yourself a favor do not use this company. Multiple attempts, requests, phone calls and emails left unanswered. My water damage happened on Nov. 4, 2023. I am still without a functioning bathroom. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business in my life. I have spent countless hours trying to get my house fixed. Most of the responses I have received from Davison & Davison were just deflections of responsibility. Here are some actual emails that I received from them: "We cannot control postal service"; "You legit didn’t read it"; "Carriers also move at their own speed"; "As stated before we are waiting to hear back from the field adjuster." This does NOT include the many, many emails that went ignored.

Dan from Davison & Davison was great to work with. I was referred to him from a friend and within minutes we were on the phone going over the issue I had. He had someone at my house the following day to inspect the situation and temporary fix the problem so it wouldn’t get worse with the upcoming snowstorm. After the snow cleared, he arranged all the meetings with my insurance company and handled all the back and forth. Him and his team kept me in the loop with updates along the way. Once everything was negotiated and settled they mailed me the settlement and all was done. It was such a stress free process that usually is quite straining. Without his help, my insurance company would of most likely have claimed it normal wear and tear and it would of just been a waste of time and not worth the aggravation but he made it worth while and I didn’t have to do the dirty work. I would highly recommend him and his team for any type of insurance claim.

If you’re in the unfortunate position of needing a public adjuster, I highly recommend getting Dan Davison on your team. Not only did his involvement net us a significantly larger payout than we would have gotten on our own, but his involvement also helped shoulder the time and emotional burden of fighting against a big company, when we were already up to our ears dealing with an unwanted renovation project. Dan Davison’s expertise leveled the playing field with the insurance company, and his involvement helped us achieve a fair resolution where all the necessary repairs were covered in full.

Even though our claim was relatively small, Dan made us feel like our claim was as important to him as any large claim in his portfolio. Knowing he had our back made a world of difference and lifted a huge burden off our shoulders at what was already a stressful time. Dan was a responsive and communicative partner from the start, and he was kind, easy to work with, and explained things clearly at every step.

I’m sure we would have not had the favorable resolution we had without Dan’s involvement. My only regret was not contacting him sooner.

I went to Dan late in our insurance claim process. I thought I could handle it all myself. I went to Dan when I wasn’t thrilled with the initial claim estimate my insurance provided. He was open and honest and provided me great tips to go back to my insurance on. He was so willing to help even though he wasn’t formally involved in our claim.
