We purchased home and fire insurance through this agency, with the understanding fire insurance portion would be contingent on inspection of property. After inspection, the fire insurance carrier sent a letter canceling us. We canceled the whole policy since wanted fire and home insurance together. When we asked for a refund for unused portion, we were told they would get back with us regarding refund. We got insurance policy elsewhere. After several weeks after fire insurance companies cancellation date, the company sent us a letter saying we were not cancelled after all, and therefore would not get refund. I contacted Elite again, and suggested this seems like fraudulent business practices. We never heard form them again, and have not gotten refund for policies.
