UPDATED REVIEW-----I received an approval to change my medical plan and I'm so very grateful for this. I have updated my review to 4 stars as I had to fight for this harder than I think I should have to due to the circumstances.

I am deeply disappointed with how EBMS handled my enrollment renewal. Two family members passed away unexpectedly, one tragically, and I was overwhelmed with grief, funeral arrangements, and legal matters. As a result, I missed the deadline to submit my form. However, I had already downloaded it, and it was predated, but it was not accepted. Death, particularly two in such a short span, should be an exception to this rule.

Truly a nightmare to try to work with. Extremely slow to process anything. They won't call you back when they say they will.

Samantha explained to me that while my plan documents state that my deductible does apply towards my Maximum out of pocket costs, she had some internal plan document that says otherwise. She was not able to email me that document either. Seems like she just made that up on the spot to avoid paying what they agreed. She directed me to the plan document then completely contradicted what it said.

The manager I spoke to agreed with me and can hopefully properly educate Samantha.

No one should have to experience this while going through medical problems.

Communication with this company (doctor's office or other wise) is non-existent. They NEVER call back, NEVER answer their phones and NEVER answer emails. I would rather tackle a Crocodile and pull all his teeth with no anesthesia (couldn't get approval through this company anyway) than dealing with them... Unfortunately it's my job 😂

My work uses these people and they shouldn’t even be in Business, they purposely don’t pay for anything. Their building requires key cards to even get in which is probably done on purpose to not have a site to walk in. I only got in because I was being very adamant by not walking away. Not only did they say they cant help me by printing any statements, they referred me to their 1-800 number which they knew full well wasn’t going to help me. I asked for statements emailed to me of exactly what they covered, one person said they need permission from a manager to send it just to get me off the phone. I called again and got someone else and she said she would send it right away but it was never sent. Going to speak to an attorney.

This is the absolute worst insurance I have ever dealt with. They deny everything and they also lie when you call to see if things are covered telling you that they aren’t but when you look at your benefits turns out they are. They keep trying to tell me if I go to my practitioners I will have e to pay my deductible, I don’t have a deductible. They apply multiple copays for doctors visits done the same day same time. A completely disgraceful company.

I would give zero stars if I could. I suffer from multiple medical conditions of which EBMS will not cover and refuses to offer any solutions. They look for any reason to deny a claim, take more than the maximum deductible and out of pocket, and will not escalate anything to a supervisor. If you or anyone in your family suffer from a disease that needs medication or medical attention regularly, steer clear of EBMS. They are the most careless insurance company I’ve ever dealt with, and I’ve dealt with some doozies.

Always denying claims, coding claims wrong making them be denied. Several coworkers have had the same experiences, one in particular got everything pre approved by EBMS (this insurance Co.) and wow BIG SURPRISE!!!, DENIED, DENIED, DENIED, Fight and fight, and fight, lawyers having to get involved… real fun stuff! 🙄

I’m just giving you fair warning, if you use them you can pretty much bet on having a bunch of problems.

HR says oh don’t worry about it we’ll figure it out and take care of it, you don’t have to do anything. Well that’s a great but you still end up dealing with a bunch of stuff.
