Thank you to our guides Hannah and Noel.

We (my partner and I) the Glacier fly in hiking experience on 9-12-24. It was a rainy overcast day but the pilot okayed to go. The flight itself was expertly handled.
They made sure everyone was properly geared for the trip, we had a group with us from North Carolina that wasn’t fully ready for the rain but they took care of everyone. We had a variety of skill levels when it came to hiking in our group but our guides kept things at a good pace for all involved. They helped take pictures and took us through some great sites on the glacier.

It was an amazing trip even in the rainy season of Alaska.

My 2 kids went on the Glacier hike and climb. Their guides were Tatum and Bryce. They had a great time and enjoyed their guides. They said the guides kept it fun while emphasizing the importance of safety. The hike is strenuous, but the guides encouragement kept them motivated. They have never been ice climbing before, but the guides were very helpful. They were great teachers, and again ensured their safety. Not only the view, but also the experience definitely payed off at the end. Totally recommend as long as you are adventurous and up to the challenge. The experience was great overall. I joined a younger couple and Hannah was our guide for the day. After quick gear fitting session we boarded "well loved" minivan and Hannah drove us to Exit glacier trailhead. After a hike we geared up for ice travel and found first spot to test our abilities ( 25-30ft wall ) where one member of a "couple" screamed her lungs out on the way down ( it's OK J you were brave ) haha. Then we relocated to another spot which was a hole about 60-70ft deep and that was way cooler than a wall. I have 2 complaints: 1st is that their boots had a lot to wish for and I have ruined my 250$ hiking boots after the aroma of said boots carried on my socks seeped into my boots...( bring extra pair of socks and save yourself this trouble )
2nd is that their backpack carried similar aroma of a hundred sweaty backs that seeped into my t-shirt and mid layer ( 6 washes later can't get it out ) and I had my own pack that I could have been wearing...
Bottom line If you have your own gear, bring it.

One of the best experiences on our trip to Alaska! We did the glacier hike. It was incredible. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, well organized, and safety focused. Lunch was so good—they get wraps from a local bbq. All the equipment is provided, but you need good hiking boots and layers.
The hike is NO JOKE. You’re going to climb uphill for about 2 miles pretty constantly. Think about doing an hour straight climbing steps or on the stairmaster. Then you have to go down a very silty/slippery rock scramble using a path that is not part of the national park. (Maybe another quarter to half mile) You’re also going to need to get back UP that very steep and uneven path after you’re done on the ice. If you do this trip, definitely don’t overestimate your abilities. The longer it takes you to get to/from the glacier, the less time on the ice. But if you can manage it, the experience is amazing! Our guides showed us glacial pools, waterfalls, and ice caves. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Would 100% recommend this trip.

Our guide (Maddie) was really sweet. Unfortunately this was not the glacier experience we had hoped for, since we only got a view of the glacier from about half a mile away. We decided to hike further up the trail to get a better view (independently), which was a beautiful hike. I definitely recommend doing the actual glacier hike rather than the “nature hike”

This was an incredibly unique experience that I’ll talk about for all the years to come. Our guides, Tatum and Bryce, were knowledgeable, fun, and safe. They took their time to explain everything thoroughly to make sure we got the most out of our trip while practicing the utmost safety. I have so admiration for their passion to climb and their respect of the land, ice, and sport.

In addition to climbing, there was great conversation and a lot of laughs. It was like being out there with a group of friends.

The office crew was also a trip highlight. They went out of their way to help with my dog while we were gone all day. My pup, while totally content in our vehicle, was walked and played multiple times during our outting. This was a huge relief and above and beyond expectations.

Thank you Exit Glacier Guides for what is now my favorite excursion I’ve ever been on.

We completed the intermediate ice climb of exit glacier and had a great time! Our group had never ice climbed before but that did not matter. Our guides, Mia and Rachel, did an excellent job making us feel safe and encouraged to climb. The activity level is definitely intermediate, but so doable! Had a great time.
