Terrible experience. We changed our policy to Dan Hakes based in part on these positive reviews. I am now shifting out. For 3 reasons: 1) I inquired about using our homeowners insurance to cover a property loss, which i leanrnrd was not beneficial and would not be covered. This inquiry was apparently filed as a claim that in turn raised our deductible and premium--it was never a claim. 2) When our insurance premiums doubled, I called the office to inquire. This call prompted them to look into alternative options and then determine we may have some cheaper options. If Hakes is serving customers rather than capitalizing on us, wouldn't they have taken this initiative? 3) As a result, we terminated our policy with Hakes. An overlap in coverage of $31, which I missed in email led to Hakes sendinga claim to CCS collection services. I grew up in Flagstaff. This is a Flagstaff business. Why didn't they call me? Instead, I'm now dealing with collections. Going with Hakes, a community business, was a terrible decision and we are paying the real costs.

We have had many insurance agencies and agents over the last 4 decades. Never have we had such a great experience as provided by the Hakes Agency and Stephanie Griffiths, Licensed Producer.

Our previous insurance agency’s agent told me that I couldn’t get an umbrella policy in Arizona that exceeded one million dollars because it was “against the law”. When I related that to Stephanie, she told me that Farmers could provide coverage above one million. She also quoted me the rates for multiple umbrellas. Stephanie is exceptionally professional and knowledgeable. Needless to say I was not too thrilled with my previous agent. So, I asked Stephanie to give me quotes for our vehicles and home. What a pleasant surprise, Stephanie’s quotes came in lower that what I had been charged by my previous agent. So, we decided to switch all of our policies to Hakes Insurance agency.!
