Shaunt Hartounian. This man was dishonest to my family about how urgent it was to commit to a particular insurance policy. Which caused unnecessary pressure and stress. A couple months later, when a complication with the policy came up, I called him and talked to him for the first time. I told him I don't go by my first name with strangers. He refused to address me by my last name, and mispronounced my first throughout the call.
I brought up how he had been dishonest about the urgency to go with the policy, and I felt he had pressured my family. He completely denied it. Then he started into this older brother routine where he kept on asking me how my life was going and telling me that I needed to put on my "big boy pants". He compared himself to Jerry Maguire and said how he only represented friends. He assured me that he was also definitely friends with the realtor who had recommended him to my family. I told him I would think about what to do with the policy. Later I called that same realtor, who I know and trust. He told me that in fact they were Not friends... So I called Mr. Hartounian back and let him know that he was a liar, that I would deal with the insurance company directly (which, by the way, it not difficult to do). I also told him that I did not want to receive a call, text, email from him ever again. I seemed to get through his thick skull. Now, almost a year later, he sent me an email trying to sell me insurance!!!
Dishonest, arrogant, and delusional... There is big difference between being a sports agent and being just an insurance broker, which is what you are, Mr. Hartounian.
