I have been to this location a few times to get my 5 year old son’s haircut. If you are facing the reception desk, the chairs on the left which is the third one down is where my son sat and a lady (not sure if she is Asian, Pacific Islander, or Hispanic) cut my sons hair. I am giving 2 stars because 1, she did a decent job on my son’s hair cut and 2, they were able to take him in right away. One star lost because, she could have asked me nicely that I can’t sit on the on the stylist chairs while waiting for my son. Reason why I wanted to be near is if she had any questions or to make my son feel more at ease. Second star lost because I could hear her sternly talking to my son. He is a child and she could have spoken to him nicely on what she wanted him to do. Third star lost because she did not even ask me at the end if ok to put gel or does the haircut look fine. No customer service or no sense of customer interaction. My 5 year old said that the lady’s voice was not nice. At the end, I paid the 22 dollar bill and gave her $5 tip but this is the last time going to this place.

Check in online at 10:30 am. Says 45 minute wait. Head to store at 11:45, wait an additional 20 minutes though I’m “1st in line”. Take my son to bathroom at 12:05 pm, come out at 12:10 pm and my name is off the list and the hairstylist I was waiting for is now going to lunch.

Absolutely ridiculous. Impossible to get a haircut at any chain location in Stockton. My fault for trying to save a buck I guess.

Came in as a walk in to this location on a Saturday 10/05/2024. They close at 5pm. I arrived at 4:39pm. There was one person in the chair getting serviced. Nobody waiting. I sat down and was asked if I had checked in online. I told them I tried but it wouldn't let me. They stated they couldn't take me because they my name wasn't on the list and because they were no longer taking walk ins. I asked if someone on the list doesn't show up can you take me and the person stated after I'm done with this haircut probably not. I would understand if there were people waiting but this location was empty. Will no longer come to this location.

My stylist Kristi... she makes the hair cut an experience. Not only with her extensive knowledge of hair styling but with her friendly composure with customers. She makes great clips a fantastic place to get a haircut. And trust me, I always get compliments after my haircut with Kristi. She is also great with my 5 year old daughter who comes in with me on occasion and watches me get a haircut. So if you're ever in the area or need a new place to go, you can trust kristi at great clips to cut you nicely. Trust me you won't regret it.

I was seen 2 hours after checking in thru the app (which is now normal for this location). After the haircut, I presented the $12.99 facebook coupon sent to me by Great Clips which they refused to accept as it was "already redeemed". I received this email coupon 3 days prior and disproved this as I hadn't had a cut in 6 weeks. I was then told it must be expired (disproved) and then told it must be invalid for that location (disproved). When my stylist was out of excuses another stylist came to help and told her to just use a different but similar discount which would of easily fixed the issue, but she refused. Instead, she called the manager who wouldn't honor the coupon (made the same disproved excuses). After telling the stylist and manager that they would lose all my family's business if they did not honor the coupon they told me the manager CAN'T fix the issue - which is a joke. I disagreed, refusing to fix it is far different than can't fix it.

Consequently, I left and called the Great Clips customer service line who refused to refund me for the horrible service and said they could only offer me another $12.99 coupon to the same place who wouldn't honor it originally. They could also call the same manager who was worthless previously. I told the corporate rep that they would lose my family's business and they said that's all they can do.

Clearly it's more important for Great Clips to be dishonest, insulting and have incompetent customer service rather than retain long-time customers by honoring their own coupons.

I was unable to do online check in, because the waiting time showed over 30 min wait, I drive 20 min to get there and arrived 10 minutes before closing time, there was no clients at all, two hair stylist there but they refuse to do service. I asked why and they said that do not take any one 15 min before closing. Then they should mark that on their website, I guess they just do not want to work.
