We were not impressed. It started with a very cluttered office (papers were stacked everywhere) We went to inquire about health insurance for our son. (It's open enrollment) We wanted to see if we could find a better option than what he has. As soon as they discovered his income, they just said medicaid. And to call his doctors to see if they'll grandfather him in and accept the Medicaid for him. Did not seem to want to help us find alternatives. Felt like we were being pushed out the door as it was getting close to closing time. If you don't want to give potential clients your time, don't make appointments at 4:30

I’ve had a terrible experience with this agency. One of their agents, Eric Thorn, was hired to secure a health insurance policy. A mistake was made along the way, the insurance was not in place, and because of this a fine of approximately $900 was levied by the IRS.

When I contacted Eric about this issue, he was rude and refused to help resolve the issue unless we paid him $95/hour with a 10-hour retainer. Quote from Eric Thorn, “My billable rate is $95 per hour and I would require a 10 hour retainer to begin work on this.”

I tried to reach out to the business owner, I believe that his name is Paul, and he would not take or return calls.

In order to resolve the issue, I had to file a complaint with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies Division of Insurance.

I can’t thank Carol Janz at GIA enough for the tremendous help and expertise she provided us. Our situation is very complicated, both financially and medically, and it was difficult determining the best course of action healthcare-wise. A broker, whom we had worked with before (from another company), was not responding to our messages and so, desperate for help, we were referred by a friend to Carol. We could not have found a better advocate. She was empathetic to circumstance, fully comprehending the unique complexities of the issues we’re facing, and she endeavored to find an affordable solution. Before speaking with her, I was despairing as to the choices we had. Now, I can honestly say I have hope!

The truth is, when disease hits your family, it doesn’t just negatively affect your health, but your finances as well, which can put in jeopardy your ability to afford the care you need. As such, having people fighting for you effectively in both arenas, one on the medical side and one on the economic side, is crucial to survival. We are so grateful for Carol, standing up for us in our greatest moment of need.
