I contacted Ben from Hedges Insurance upon a recommendation from a friend who was signed up for Medicare Advantage with them.

From the very beginning, I was impressed. The agents are local, and they act like small-town friendly neighbors. Ben patiently explained what I could expect as I turned Medicare age, and explained my options (including just going with Medicare and no Advantage plan).

I chose the HMO Advantage plan, and have been impressed every single time I've had to use it. From little to no co-pays, decent doctors, and almost zero money out of my pocket. Plus good care. I've used it for eye exams and eye infections, minor illnesses, annual checkups, annual dental visits, colonoscopy, and recently a arthroscopic surgery on my knee. I've received great medical care and almost never had to pay a co-pay or deductible. Seriously - I think I've maybe paid a total of $80.00 over the last 1.5 years for all of these visits and procedures.

Ben is down to earth and friendly. I'm talking to a local guy who isn't some distant contractor employee answering a phone tree thousands of miles away. From my experience with Hedges, I'd be comfortable saying I can trust them to give me the advise that is the best fit for me.

Lastly, I received a letter from them this week detailing any changes in 2025 to their plans (and the one I chose). The letter was clear, concise and explained my options. It wasn't a sales pitch - they just let me know my options.

Closing this off, I'll say that this service and their plans are better than the "Gold" and "Silver" plans I had with Blue Shield PPO under Obama Care.....much less expensive and much more simple to use. And some cool bennies such as free gym membership. I highly recommend you give them a call and find out what, if anything, they can do for you.
