In summary. They took my case Dec of 2023. I was rejected by Southern Vanguard for a insurance claim in which a pipe from below my nice manufactured 2 bedroom, two bath home sprang a leak. The damage was un noticeable by eye, however it sprayed up ward damaging the floors in hallway & partial of the bedrooms. It "may" have occured "over a period of time. I was gone but have two people who checked my place approx 2 weeks prior and the home was fine. So the insurance Company denied my claim on a basis that they deny "continuous water flow". I found this company. Tom A came out. While professional, smart & promising, he warned me that he would be the guy to piss me off as these thing take time. Unfortunately he was right. Why? Because I had a couple important questions for him, & simply wanted a text, a call, a email, a "MOMENT OF HIS TIME". A couple minutes...NOTHING! I have the proof on my phone. Over 3 months...NO contact. No status nothing. I have many friends & neighbors like myself could not believe these people don't get back to you. And nobody answers the phone! Beware. I know some folks are unreasonable, but I am not one of them. My life & career of dealing with unreasonable people would prove it. I then sent him a picture of a business card which says this..... THE BITTERNESS OF POOR QUALITY LINGERS LONG AFTER THE SWEETNESS OF A CHEAP PRICE IS FORGOTTEN. I sent that May 10th,2024. On May 14th they sent me a letter that they no longer represent me...Good Luck! No reasons as to why? Never given any status. NOTHING! So I wasted 5 months. Zero help. Makes you wonder between insurance Companies, their adjusters, & yes even the so called public adjusters who are alledgedly "on your side"...why then will they not give you a few minutes after you sign with them. I would highly NOT recommend them! I feel I was treated horrible for no reason. Apparently I am not the only person feeling this way. "Good Luck"

Our home was damaged from the huge hail storm that came through Safford, Arizona in October 2016. We filed a claim with our insurance company thinking they would take care of us. We have been loyal customers for over 10 years. Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters was recommended to us from a friend who also had hail damage. We called them and they sent a representative over that same day. He explained what a public adjuster was and how they could help. We were afraid to sign their paperwork and to even give a small percentage of our claim away, so we decided to go at it on our own….. Big mistake. Our insurance company offered to pay us a little over 7k to repair our roof, they didn’t even look at the damage to our hardwood floor and refused to pay for the damage done to our AC unit. They said it could be repaired for about 150 bucks. We had a local AC guy tell us he couldn’t repair it properly and recommended a replacement. After a few months going at it on our own, we called Hudson Douglas back and asked if they were still willing to help us. That same week they came and did their own investigation and within 2 weeks we had a check that covered our interior damages and paid for a full replacement on our Air Conditioning unit. They took us from about 7k to well over 17k. I wish we would have listened when they first came by. I promise they are worth every penny they charge and will get you more money for your claim than you can by yourself!

When our pipes burst under our slab causing a flood in our house we'd only just bought a year before we were devastated! It was very daunting, especially as first time homeowners who haven't experienced anything this big before. We decided to try a public adjuster and we are SO glad we did! We never had to speak first-hand with the insurance company, Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters made every phone call and email for us. We had to be put up in a hotel for 2 months---Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters made all the arrangements and made certain insurance would cover all the expenses! We ended up getting enough money through insurance to do a complete restoration including replacing all the floors/paint/baseboards in our house! Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters was VERY knowledgeable and explained things to us so we would understand the process completely. We received weekly communication with updates to our claim so we always knew where we were in the process at that time and what to do next. We definitely couldn't have done it without them and will forever be grateful to them! We hope to never have another situation like this, but if we do, We will be using Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters. We will be HIGHLY recommending them to all of our friends and family!

THANK YOU HUDSON DOUGLAS! YOU'RE AMAZING. I thought public adjusters were only required when managing large disasters, but I know better now. During a monsoon, a handful of shingles tore off my roof and weakened a few areas on the roof. I thought I would most definitely be paying the quoted $2K repairs out of pocket. Since my insurance deductible was $2K, I very reluctantly had Hudson Douglas open an insurance claim on my behalf, thinking I would not receive enough to cover the deductible and I’d have a claim on my insurance records, but I was wrong. Hudson Douglas was VERY PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGABLE and REASONABLE through the entire process! They not only got my damage covered, but had the insurance company pay enough to replace my entire roof (that’s $15K worth of work). I will be using HUDSON DOUGLAS for all future home and business disasters and losses (fingers crossed I don’t encounter any!).

Last year a fire started in our attic from a bathroom fan. We got our family out, but by the time the fire department was able to put out the fire, our house was completely unlivable… what wasn’t damaged by fire was completely soaked with water from the fire hose. It wasn’t even safe for us to walk inside.
After the dust settled and we were able to file a claim, we were surprised to find out that our claim had been denied. The insurance company had supposedly sent us a cancelation letter that we never received. Our house had basically burned to the ground and we had no insurance. We were devastated.
For a few months we were living in an apartment and paying our mortgage at the same time. We were about to throw in the towel and give up our home, when someone told us to call a public adjuster. We called a few and most wouldn’t even listen to us when they found out we did not have coverage. Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters was the first company that would even listen to us. They told us not to get our hopes up, but said they would do their best. Within a few months time, Hudson Douglas was able to show that our insurance company did not follow the proper procedures when they dropped our coverage. Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters was then able to adjust our claim and got us enough money to make sure our home and everything in it was repaired or replaced, just like new. They even got the insurance company to pay for the apartment we had been staying in. They literally saved us from losing our home. If you need help with an insurance claim they will take care of you.

Doug is an extremely knowledgeable & personable businessman. He began in construction & is professional in every aspect. I initially spoke to a more local public adjuster to our home. He had a greedy 180 approach in comparison to Doug. I can’t speak highly enough in every regard to Doug’s integrity. He is expeditious, practices in 13 locations. Had a crazy bad hail storm come through town. Lots of peoples roofs got damaged. Heard about these guys from our A/C repair man. They come to my house, walked me through the call to file a claim, and met with the insurance guy just a few days later. The insurance people were really dragging their feet through the whole process and the fellow from Hudson Douglas had to meet with them several times before they decided to pay for all the damage. Because of that it did take longer than I expected, but the guys at Hudson Douglas stuck with it until the insurance finally agreed to pay for all damages. Overall great helpful guys.
