DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, especially if you are a business. All the negative reviews are true. They say they cover lost boxes and pay claims in 5-7 days, but IT IS A LIE. You will be required to submit a ton of documentation AND have the customer file an affidavit saying that the box was lost, damaged, etc. Keep in mind, the customer gets nothing for this hassle. More than likely, the customer Will NOT file the aff8davit. If the customer is on vacation or working somewhere else, they refuse the claim based on IP address of the customer! Yes. That's right. If the IP address doesn't match the customers city, they deny the claim. Nevermind that the customer might be on vacation, visiting a different city, or working remotely in a different state.

The last time I had a claim with them was over 2 years ago. So, I'm a business that rarely has claims.

Insurance is protection when something goes wrong. They just take the insurance and don't pay you what they owe you and promise to pay you.

You are better off not insuring the box!

I cannot stress enough how utterly disappointed I am with Insureship. This company, which is supposed to offer a safety net for unforeseen events, has proven to be nothing short of a nightmare.

Attempting to navigate the claims process with Insureship felt like hitting a brick wall repeatedly. Their lack of helpfulness and the way they make it nearly impossible to have a claim approved is beyond frustrating. It's not just about the money, although they had no qualms about taking our hard-earned cash. It's about the peace of mind that insurance is meant to provide, a reassurance that when life throws a curveball, you won’t be left stranded.

In our case, Insureship not only failed to deliver on their promises but also managed to rob us of the very peace of mind we sought when purchasing insurance in the first place. The denial of our claim left us feeling betrayed and questioning the integrity of the company.

My experience with Insureship has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge anyone considering their services to think long and hard before entrusting them with your hard-earned money and, more importantly, your peace of mind.

These guys are the ones that handle the Shipworks claims, which is what I use. I had a camera that was shipped out and claimed to have been damaged by the recipient. The recipient refused to provide an affidavit, but the agent was nice enough to work with me and allowed me to use the emailed statement the receipient originally provided instead. First time using them and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to keep using the insurance after that experience.

Had a claim for a lost package a couple months back. The whole process was pretty straightforward much better than my experience with the company handling Etsy insurance. Wish I didnt have to get a signed statement, but seems pretty common for all the insurance companies I've dealt with and/or spoken too. At least here I could get in touch with a live person who was helpful and polite!

If customer says, they did not receive item, but does NOT want to sign "insurance affidavit" saying they did not receive, then you the "Seller" are NOT COVERED.
The customer does not benefit from signing the affidavit, so many will not sign, especially if they're lying.
InsureShip will gladly take your insurance money, but good luck getting covered when the time comes.
Crooked Company!

I have used Insureship for YEARS. When I was having issues with Fed-Ex blanket denying claims because their website would not work correctly, I turned to Insureship. When I had issue with the USPS shipping things overseas, I turned to them. I spoke to friends and family, touted their professionalism and expertise! And then, with the beginning of this year, things took a turn for the worse. They started to nickle and dime my customers, asking them if they would accept partial refunds in order to keep broken shipments. They delayed determinations on claims BY MONTHS. They asked the customer to pay to send them a package, and when the customer refused, they put it off on me, the shipper. I sent Fed-Ex to pick up the package and send it to Insureship. Fed-Ex took care of packaging the item to send to Insureship, but when Insureship got it, they used it to deny all of my outstanding claims. Yeah, that's right. They used a package Fed-Ex packaged and picked up from my customers address, to deny not only that claim, but all my claims. Well, you decide whether I should continue using Insureship or not. I'll update this review if things get resolved amicably. Right now, I'm appealing all the denied claims on the basis that I believe their actions in my case are neither ethical or professional.
