Let me say upfront , my local insurance agent has been sympathetic and made two attempts to assist me in resolving my almost year long claim to rebuild my kitchen . PROBLEM:The Ajuster, who has no ties to my local Insurance Agent, and my contractor are unable to agree on the amount of funds to restore my kitchen. As a result , my contractor has resigned and informed me to “see if Alstate can find me a contractor who can restore my home for the current awarded amount of money.” I’m currently searching for more contractors’ estimates. Meanwhile, I’m stuck living out of my bedroom, as the dining room is not habitable, living room and basement are crammed with kitchen furniture. My adjuster said he would not approve an “packout”. Additionally ,I am short $1800.00 to pay for my home repair because of lack of knowledge received initially. I paid for a kitchen pipe repair that’s not covered in my claim.
I believe this entire situation could have been avoided with more adequate “Claim management and proactive/written communication.” This claim process is new to most claimants including me.Most people are stressed and concerned about their issues . They like myself need written guidance along with verbal guidance “pushed “ to them to navigate the claim process. The majority of the claim information I received was a result of discovery, from coworkers or “my pulling information”from my Adjuster.
I pray we are not forced to celebrate Christmas outside of our home this year.see pictures attached

I've had my own insurance for over 17 years but I'd never had anyone take their time and break everything down to me. Chad spent 2 hours of his time making that I understood everything that I was signing up for. He was very personable by sharing what he has done and seen others do so that I could make the best decision for me. On top of that, I have never seen real kick backs like I have for safe driving. In my first month I saved almost $180. Just for driving safe, who knew!? Thank you Allstate for helping me save money in this ever evolving economy that seems to continue to deplete me.

They should actually be less than one star but it’s requiring me to do one. The lady I say that very loosely named Rachel ascot is horrible. She disrespected me and my husband and implied hurtful things that were not correct or true. She will be losing homeowners car and alternative insurance with us anyone else who has insurance with these guys I feel extremely sorry for this is probably the worst person I’ve ever experienced with horrible communication skills absolutely awful. Rachel Ascot is horrible. Find another insurance company. Allstate is not bad. She is horrible. Tony would be ashamed.

Negative. I found out how the 5-year auto accident forgiveness really works and I do not feel it is fair. It's not what an average consumer thinks it is.
My mother had a small accident 5 years and 3 months after her 1st small accident. Because it was during a policy period that had started 4 years and 10 months after her 1st accident, the 5-year accident forgiveness did not apply. Had her 2nd accident happened 2 months later, the current policy period would have ended and the 5-year accident forgiveness would have applied.
