I’m a retired military officer, so I’ve had insurance through a company the military systems use for nearly 30 years.

Around 1992 my family Mark and Leone Hoffman and I switched all of our insurance to American Family. They had used State Farm for probably 20 years but we dropped all of our insurance with State Farm over a $212 claim that they said they were going to pay, and then refused to. I will never trust State Farm again Trust is hard to earn, and if you ever lose it, it’s impossible to fully earn it back.

Kevin Stokes runs American Family Insurance in Eldon and Iberia now. Recently, we needed to update our policies and Kevin took the initiative to quote what a new policy versus our current policy could offer.

In the end, we updated all of our vehicle policies and we remained status quo with our current farm policy. But Kevin had the integrity to have our best interests In mind. He saved his money. He also found us the best bang for our buck!

Integrity is everything in the military. Unfortunately, it’s a dying quality in the professional world. Kevin‘s family raised him well and he doesn’t fall victim, to sacrificing his integrity to his customers. I know from the professional world that Kevin could make more money and get more benefits from his corporate chain if he “up-sold” more insurance options than what is customers really needed. But multiple times when I’ve checked up on him, he has never done it—even when we weren’t looking.

After geico wanted to charge us an insane increased amount, I called around to different places. I talked with Ashley. She got back to me very quickly with a quote I didn't even have to think about!
Later, geico still tried to bill us even after we switched insurance and sent us to a collection agency. They requested info proving we had other insurance before geico billed again.
