If you want a more stressful home buying or home selling experience, this is the place to go. For us, they did not catch discrepancies worth thousands of dollars; which meant that we could no longer trust anything they did and we became our own escrow checkers. Then on the last day, they sent in the wrong information to the recorder's office, delaying the close of escrow by another day. This stuff matters when you have movers, contractors, cleaners scheduled. No apologies, just poor service. As a seller or buyer, you can pick your own group. Do not pick them just because you may live close. A competent escrow company can work for you from anywhere.
