I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and shock with the services provided by Midland Public Adjusting Company and Relianz Restorations. My experience has been incredibly frustrating and has left me feeling scammed.

Initial Engagement: After the hailstorm on April 24, 2023, Paul G. came on to our property (falsely representing himself as Midland Public Adjusting Corp. employee) to assess the damage. We inspected the roof together using their company’s ladder. Following the inspection, he made several false promises to secure my business and pressured me into signing a contract. However, he did not leave the copy of the contract with us nor ever sent one by mail or email, despite my repeated requests.

1. Lack of Communication: After signing, I did not hear from Paul nor has anyone have contacted us for over six months. Paul later claimed to have visited our property when no one was at home, accessing the yard and roof without my approval or prior notice.

2. Poor Customer Service: When I called the office to speak with the owner about my concerns and to request that Paul not return to our home, Edith informed me that she was unable to connect me with the owner. This lack of support was both unexpected and highly disappointing.

3. Failed Promises: My neighbor, who also used Midland’s contracting services during the same time, provided me with Norbert L., the owner, contact information. I reached out to Norbert, who promised to visit my home but never followed through. Despite my attempts to contact him via phone calls and text messages on multiple occasions, I was met with vague responses and no real follow-up.

4. Delayed Follow-Up: After one year, Edith finally contacted me to schedule an appointment. She brought samples of shingles and took measurements for the siding. However, shortly after, she informed me that I would need to pay an additional $3,000 over the original estimates provided.

5. Continuous Disappearance: After another two months of silence, Edith called to ask for my decision. I reiterated that I needed a new roof and would not pay anything over the estimates. Once again, they disappeared, and I eventually received a bill demanding 35% of the insurance checks.

It is highly concerning that, after selecting Relianz Restorations with the expectation of resolving hail damage to my property, I have been subjected to consistent delays and unwarranted additional charges. Furthermore, I have become aware that similar practices have affected my neighbors, reinforcing my belief that the company may be engaging in exploitative behavior detrimental to the community. I demand an immediate response from Norbert to address this matter. Notably, it has been one year and seven months since Paul initially visited my property, yet no meaningful progress has been made.

Feel like Scamers. It took them 7 month to do our roof, and they messed up with gutters. Never came back to finish sunroof. Good that we were paying after job done and not upfront. Paul and Edith were very rude. Interesting that we recommended them to our neighbors(unfortunately) one of them still have nothing fixed and said that Paul and Edith are rude to them too. Second neighbor said that They refused to do roof for them and was forcing my neighbor to pay them 35% from check.

I can't recommend them

Please do not waste your time with Midland Adjusting and Relianz Restoration!!! . I signed an agreement with them over a year ago to repair/ replace the roof as well as interior damages caused by the roof. As of today it is still not repaired and the damage became substantial. I was dealing with a person by the name Gabriel. Till today I am not certain if Gabriel is a Public Adjuster or a Roofer. He was eager to sign the contract but once it was signed his response became a radio silence. I understand that insurance companies could be difficult to work with , however the problem is/was a complete lack of communication from the adjuster. I was always under the impression that the role of a public adjuster is to have the best interest of his or her customer. I am also aware that insurance providers are under obligations to respond to customers or public adjusters within a certain period of time. Experience with Midland and Relianz was very frustrating as they never called back and every time they did call back it was always the same story that the insurance is not responding or they are waiting for something. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME !!!

I have never felt with an insurance adjustor before and I did not know what to expect. After my insurance company sent their adjustor, I was devastated. I feared I will never be able to restore my water damaged house. As soon as Mateusz Kondrat met with me I have regained confidence and hope. With his help I have been able to recover all my losses. He was kind, professional and extremely knowledgable. He was even able to remind me of losses I would have easily overseen (i.e. cost of dog-care while the house was not livable and I had to stay at a rented house).
I recommend Mildland Adjusting with certainty that you will receive the most qualified, hard working and effective representation at the time you may be overwhelmed with losses and difficulties. Mr. Kondrat was able to assist me in an otherwise traumatic and difficult circumstances. Without his help I would not be able to enjoy my fully restored home. I give him a five star rating without any hesitation.

If a 0 star rating was an option it would more accurately reflect the ethics of this company. I would STRONGLY advise dissolving any outstanding work orders you have with them and contact your local insurance office for a referral. The adjuster lacked transparency and failed to communicate with me or my insurer after 8 months and countless delays. I've since learned they are not an endorsed or preferred contractor with my insurer and I have since LOST COVERAGE due to the contractor failing to complete repairs to my roof. Stay clear of this company and subsidiary listed below.

I enlisted Midland Adjusting to negotiate a loss on my behalf in late 2024. Gabriel Koszela license #210791135 signed a contract on 8/6/2024 and assured our family he was confident working with large companies such as All State & State Farm for this type of loss. After the initial evaluation in September he failed to return to complete the necessary repairs and for 8 months dragged out doing the work while assured us he was following up directly with my insurer. In February of 2025 I received a notice that my insurer would not renew our policy after April 2025. I contacted Gabriel immediately to notify him of the situation and he resolved to push his "higher ups" to accelerate my work order and complete the necessary repairs. As of April 16 I've called/texted several times and he has not responded or followed up. He has failed to notify us as to why the work order was not completed and opted for the cowardly option of silence. This lack of professionalism is something I would advise you to consider when seeking a qualified contractor. Please do not make the mistake of taking their word as a "preferred contractor".
