I echo the other positive comments. Scott is very sharp, experienced and knows homeowners insurance and the law very well. He and his colleagues had excellent customer service and were attentive and responsive quickly at all times of the day and night during the height of our situation. We had a controversial fire which leveled our home. Most people - us included - assumed insurance would not pay anything. It was never controversial to Scott. He was 100% spot on from day 1. Throughout our extreme event, Scott provided reassurance and comfort. Within 5 days of our fire - still devastated and overwhelmed - the insurance company indeed sent a letter indicating five reasons they were planning on denying our claim. Scott and his team torpedoed each one of those reasons revealing the insurance company was bluffing just to try and reduce settlement. Scott took control and proactively managed all aspects of the process and we got a significant partial payout within 2 months [we are finishing requirements for the balance]. Without Scott counseling us, we most likely would have simply gone with what the insurance company said and accepted zero payout because we would not have known any better. We are eternally grateful. It was a pleasure doing business with him. He is one of the best investments I’ve ever made.

Scott was exactly what we needed. He took the time and energy to write up every repair we would need in our home after water damage. He fought for us with our insurance company. It was such a relief for him to be the mediator as well as a kind and compassionate person who listened to our concerns and worked hard and efficiently on our behalf. Our original unrealistic $11,000 payout from the insurance company became $150,000 which enabled us to repair our home properly and without worry of further issues. Our family endured a devastating total loss, our home and all of our belongings due to a house fire. We were approached by many adjusters during the night of the fire and were overwhelmed by all that was occurring. Our insurance company adjuster met us the next morning at the house and guided us through what we thought we needed to know at the time, including not needing a public adjuster. We thought everything was good, gave us information, seemed to be on our side, feeling very bad for what had happened. From there, the story goes….Battle after battle, being told “NO” over and over and avoiding answers we had questions on with regards to our policy. We met Scott Terra through a mutual acquaintance. He promptly came by and explained what his services were and what would change for us if he were to handle our claim. Scott has vast knowledge of the Insurance Industry and guided us through our policy, what we were initially entitled to as well as all that the Insurance adjuster had declined to mention. Please do your homework on Public Adjusters, not all are the same nor will look out for your best interest. We experienced a fire at our home over the winter, luckily everyone was fine, but we discovered we had significant smoke damage. Hours after the fire we overwhelmed by all the public adjusters and fire mitigation companies that were coming to the house unsolicited. Only one, Scott, had the courtesy of waiting 48 hours before contacting us, in fact he called as opposed to showing up uninvited. I asked our adjuster if he ever worked with or recommended a public adjuster, he mentioned they run the gamut from great to terrible; I asked him for names of the best ones he worked with in the past, he mentioned Scott. Scott was able to help us with negotiating everything, from settling the dwelling, contents, and even making sure the insurance company covered our rental for 1 year. The settlement process was more arduous than I imagined, and Scott never slowed down, he has been by our side using his expertise relentlessly throughout. I unequivocally recommend Scott!

We had a tree come down on our home which damaged our siding and our roof. Originally our insurance company wanted to settle the claim for $7k which would have covered basic patchwork to fix the damage. Scott negotiated our claim and got 7x more than our original settlement to help cover all of our siding and all of our roof. His experience and professionalism were second to none!!! I highly recommend Scott and his team when you are in need of someone to advocate for you. His ability to fight for you with the utmost professionalism, all the while being compassionate and genuinely caring while you are dealing with the wide range of emotions, was impressive.
